PLL Romance Spoilers for Season 6

It’s time for a PLL romance checkup for season 6.  Things look pretty bleak for the Liars, since they will be traumatized from their time spent trapped in the dollhouse.  What’s in store for them romantically when they finally escape the dollhouse?  Pretty Little Liars executive producer Oliver Goldstick spilled some juicy spoilers to ET Online for Hanna, Aria, Spencer, Emily and Alison’s love lives.

Hanna and Caleb have always had a relatively stable relationship.  They have always had each other’s backs and have been supportive.  However, they may start to have some issues in season 6.  After escaping from the dollhouse, Hanna may start pushing Caleb away.

"Because of her trauma, she might not be able to appreciate how great Caleb is right away in [season] six”, Oliver Goldstick said.  Caleb, however, will continue to be the sweet boyfriend that we love.  "I think he's always been there to support her with every decision she makes, and I think he remains the perfect boyfriend in so many ways."  So it looks like there is still hope for Haleb fans.

Aria and Ezra have had ups and downs for the past few years and at the end of season 5 they were no longer together.  They managed to make it through the bombshell reveal that Ezra was keeping secrets and writing a book about Alison.  However, things started to fall apart when Ezra realized that Aria regretted missing out on the typical high school experience because of her secret relationship with him,.  Ezra thought Aria spending time away from him was the only way to have a healthy relationship in the future, but that pushed her closer to Andrew Campbell.

Andrew seemed pretty sweet and he clearly wanted to be the guy Aria turned to.  He acted a little suspicious the night Aria’s brother got beat up, though.  We also saw him eavesdropping on a phone conversation between Spencer's mom and Melissa.  And we can’t forget that “A”’s lair was at the old Campbell farm.  Which guy is in Aria’s future?

Oliver Goldstick gives some hope to all the Ezria shippers.  Looks like it isn’t going to be easy for Aria to stay away from Ezra.  “Part of her knows that she and Ezra need to go their separate ways, but something happens in the beginning of [season] six A that brings them very close together again.  This will be a challenge and they're both going to have to deal with it. It's a mixed message from the universe."

Don’t expect Ezra and Aria to get together right away, though.  PLL showrunner Marlene King said Aria and Ezra's breakup was necessary.

Spencer and Toby started having issues when Toby became a Rosewood police officer.  Spencer ended up kissing two guys, Johnny and British hottie Colin, when Toby kept pushing her away.  Spencer and Toby didn't break up, though.  They  kissed before "A" kidnapped Spencer.  However, in season 6 Spencer is going to be a bit preoccupied with investigating “A”.  That’s going to put her romantic life on the back burner for a while.

"Spencer will be challenged as well, but the great news is she's got an inside track at the Rosewood PD.  So Spencer -- who has always led a lot of this mystery train -- holds the key because she was obviously the first one to see [Charles'] movie.  I would just say that her romance may get a little addled by the mystery of it all, but that doesn’t mean her romance goes away completely".  So it doesn’t seem like we will see that much of Spoby in season 6.

Emily hasn’t had much luck in the romance department.  Her first girlfriend, Maya, is thought to be dead.  And her on-again/off-again girlfriend Paige moved to California.  Her romance with The Brew’s chef Talia was short-lived and seemed doomed to fail since she was married.  It looks like Emily has already met her soul mate, though.

"She might just realize that she's now got a soul mate closer to her than she ever thought.  And the dollhouse will have been a big factor in a shift of what Emily wants in a partner. Who and what she wants", Oliver said.

What does this mean for Paily and Emison fans?  We know Paige will be making an appearance in season 6.  Do you think Emily realizes Paige is her soul mate?  And is Maya really dead?  There have been hints that “A” may have tried to kill Maya.

Alison’s stint in jail meant that she didn’t have much of a romance life.  She was a bit busy fighting for her life.  Now that she’s out of jail, however, she may start up a new, unexpected romance.

"I think you're going to be excited that there's life after prison for Alison and that she doesn’t have to wear orange.  Once she puts on a different color she may be attracted to somebody in Rosewood who you won't expect -- an unlikely person. And an unlikely person might find her very attractive."

An ‘unlikely person’ is a pretty vague clue.  Anyone hoping for Alison and Noel hookup?  We still don’t know why Noel was helping Ali while she was on the run, but it seems like there is more to that story.

Or do you think the unlikely person could be Lucas?  Lucas has always hated Alison for bullying him.  He is one of the last people you would expect to hook up with Alison, which would make him an unlikely person.

Of course, it could also be a character we haven’t met before.  From behind-the-scenes photos that Sasha Pieterese posted, we know that Alison will meet Lorenzo Calderon, a new Rosewood police officer played by Travis Winfrey.  Maybe we'll see some sparks fly between Alison and Lorenzo?

No spoilers for Mona’s love life, but Mona and Mike are such a good couple.  Mona genuinely seemed to care about Mike and Mike was clearly in love with Mona.  Hope they continue dating when Mike finds out that Mona isn’t dead after all.

PLL Sneak Peek 5x20: Mike Buys Jewelry

Hanna thinks Mike is buying jewelry for Alison in this sneak peek of Pretty Little Liars “Pretty Isn’t the Point”.

Hanna knows that Mike bought a necklace that said “I’m With You”.  She’s sure he must have bought it for Alison.  Mike’s been to her jail cell more than once, meeting up with Alison’s sketchy friends, leaving candygrams in the woods and withdrew a huge amount of money from “A”’s bank account last week.

Caleb isn’t supportive of Hanna’s plan to compete in a beauty pageant (Miss Teen, countywide).  He doesn’t want Hanna to parade around in a bikini and be judged like a heifer at a 4-H Fair. 

Caleb offers to call his mom in Santa Barbara.  The guy his mom is married to is loaded, so they can ask for a loan.  After Hanna’s dad slammed the door in her face, she doesn’t want to ask anyone else for help.

Caleb warns Hanna that the pageant world is squeaky-clean.  Last week, Hanna was modeling a hazmat suit and pushing around a barrel with a liquefied friend in it.

Hanna is still determined to compete in the pageant.  She doesn’t feel like she has any other choice.

PLL Sneak Peek 5x20: Mike Flips Out at Aria

Aria’s brother Mike has a lot of pent up anger in this sneak peek of Pretty Little Liars “Pretty Isn’t the Point”.

Aria’s got another study session with Andrew Campbell.  While they are studying, Mike comes home and takes two coffees to his room.

Andrew can tell that Aria is too distracted to study.  Aria asks Andrew to following her brother to the gym and see if he’s meeting anyone.  She’d go herself, but he might spot her.  Surprisingly, Andrew is quick to agree.

Mike storms out of his room and demands to know why Aria was in his room.  Aria claims that she was just doing laundry, but Mike can tell that someone went through his desk.

Again, Mike tells Aria that none of this is her business.  If Aria goes through his stuff again, he’s going to make sure she lives to regret it.  In anger, Mike flips a table over.

Can Mike be Trusted? Cody Christian Thinks So

Mike’s been acting shady lately on PLL.  He’s visiting Alison in jail, leaving packages for someone, and he refuses to confide in his sister Aria.  Is Mike on the “A” team?

Cody Christian, who plays Mike Montgomery on PLL, told ETonline that Mike is trustworthy.  "I think [Mike] can be trusted, but at this point he's seeking answers and I feel like to get those answers, maybe trust might go out the window," he said.

Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to find out what Mike is up to.  “"All will be revealed very very soon, and I don’t mean soon like it's going to happen next season, I mean very soon”.

As for theory on who “A” is, Cody thinks it’s crazy to think that “A” could be one of the main girls.  "We've seen [the liars] at these raw and emotional times and we've seen how much they're affected by ['A'] and if that was all fake, then those girls are sociopaths.  You need to run as far away as possible from those girls if they can pull something like that off.  I just feel like they have been affected so deeply and you see this effect on such a personal level that it's almost impossible to believe that could've been staged."

PLL 5x18 Promo: Johnny Acting Suspicious?

Is Johnny keeping secrets?  In the Canadian promo of PLL episode 5x18 “Oh, What Hard Luck Stories They All Hand Me”, Spencer find out that Johnny has one of the Alison’s missing posters.  Johnny tells Spencer that “this whole town is strung together with whispers”.

Spencer is confident that Alison is going to be tried and convicted of murder.  Aria is worried that Alison’s desperation will grow as the trial date gets closer.  Hanna thinks Alison will get more dangerous.

Holbrook seems to have some anger issues.

Mike says “you can’t take everything apart like you want her to disappear”.

PLL Sneak Peek 5x16: Aria and Mike Discuss Mona

Mike is trying to come to terms with Mona’s death.  Mike tells Aria that Mona had a list of movies that she wanted to show him.  He decided to watch a couple.

Mona remembered every little detail from all the movies she watched.  Mike thinks Mona was too smart.

Ezra and Mike Scenes on PLL Soon?

Will we be getting some Ezra and Mike scenes on Pretty Little Liars?  When PLL writer Joseph Dougherty was asked about Ezra/Mike scenes, Joseph tweeted “I’m thinking yes”.

Ezra (Aria’s boyfriend) and Mike (Aria’s little brother) have a complicated history.  When Ezra told the Montgomery family that he was in love with Aria, Mike responded by punching him.  However, Ezra stopped Mike from getting expelled when Conner’s car was smashed.  (Conner was the guy who got pissed when Aria rejected him, so he told the lacrosse team that Aria hooked up with him.  He also called her a slut because of her relationship with Ezra).

It would be pretty great to get some Ezra and Mike scenes where they are working together.  Despite their differences, they both care about Aria.  Maybe they’ll team up to fight against “A”?

Looks like we will see a Mona and Mike flashback later on in season five of Pretty Little Liars.  Janel Parrish has been busy on DWTS, but she is still making time to shoot episodes of PLL. 

Janel just posted a behind-the-scenes photo with Cody Christian (Mike on PLL).  Looks like we will see a flashback of Mike and Mona at The Brew.  (Janel has also posted a behind-the-scenes photo with Ashley Benson from a different episode).

Mona and Mike’s Relationship Still Going Strong?

Despite Aria’s dismay, Mona and Aria’s little brother Mike rekindled their relationship at the beginning of season 5.  Looks like the relationship is still going strong.

Janel Parrish (Mona on PLL) posted this photo of her with Cody Christian (Mike on PLL).  She captioned it “Workin today with this muffin @codychristian”.

Although Mona is the devil, as Aria puts it, Mike and Mona are kind of cute together.  Mike seems to be the only person Mona genuinely cares about.  Hope she doesn’t break his heart!  Any chance this relationship might bring Aria and Mona closer?
