Lucy Hale food diaries: what she eats in a day (Privileged)

The first thing Lucy Hale does when she wakes up is check her phone and look at her Instagram account.

One of her goals during this coronavirus quarantine is to set thirty minutes aside in the morning before doing anything to make a cup of coffee, mediate or journal.

During the quarantine, Lucy Hale has been sleeping in until about 10AM. That's unusual for her. Usually she's up at 6AM.

Lucy Hale is a breakfast person. She likes all meals, but breakfast is her favorite. Sometimes her breakfast is a Peanut butter Perfect Bars. If you want more flavors, try a variety pack. Choose from a variety of peanut butter flavors or chocolate flavors.

Perfect protein bars are made with ground nut butters and organic honey. They are even packed with 20 organic superfoods and are gluten free. You keep them in the refrigerator, so they're fresh and cold whenever you reach for them.

Other days, she starts her morning off with chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. With bacon and eggs, of course. She loves eggs.

The breakfast Lucy Hale eats most often is one slice of wheat toast, toasted in the toaster twice. She likes her toast really crispy. She slathers on about 4-6 tbsps of RX nut butter in the flavor vanilla almond butter (Yum!). She adds a chopped banana on top of that. She then drizzles on some honey. As a final step, she'll sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.

RX Nut Butter is gluten free and keto friendly. It's a delicious and filling protein-packed spread made from real ingredients like egg whites, dates and nuts. Plus, it smells and tastes delicious!

Lucy Hale is a coffee person. She goes to sleep excited about drinking coffee the next morning.

Since all the coffee shops are closed during the quarantine, Lucy Hale has been relying on her Keurig machine to get her caffeine fix every morning. She also adds a lot of creamer to her coffee. It gets her going in the morning.

Lucy keeps trying to get into tea. She feels like tea is very official and adult, but she finds it boring.

After breakfast, Lucy takes her maltipoo dog Elvis out for his first walk of the day. Those walks are usually about 45 minutes.

After that, Lucy Hale gets her workout in. She'll do her workout on a treadmill. After her treadmill workout, she'll also livestream a yoga class.

Lucy Hale will then do some crafts. She's teaching herself to cross stitch. She's currently working on a cross stitch pig.

Lucy will also take time to read. Lucy Hale is currently reading the New York Times bestseller Where The Crawdads Sing by author Delia Owens, which is "the most beautiful written book [she's] read in a really long time".

Where The Crawdads Sing synopsis:

"For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved. When two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life--until the unthinkable happens.

Where the Crawdads Sing is at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age story, and a surprising tale of possible murder. Owens reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were, and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps."

After reading, she'll take her second walk with Elvis.

She'll do a lot of FaceTime with family and friends, since she's doing this quarantine alone. Lucy feels for people who, like her, have been stuck in quarantine alone. She admitted that there have been some tears.

Lucy Hale's typical lunch is sushi, specifically sashimi. She likes yellowtail with jalapeƱo and yuzu sauce. She also likes albacore tuna with crispy onions. She even likes uni, which is sea urchin.

On other days, she might have a salad for lunch. She loves a good kale salad with blackened salmon on top. Lucy adds lots of dressing, even Ranch.

Lucy Hale loves club sandwiches. She'll butter and brown two sides of wheat toast. She fries an egg and tops that with vegan cheddar cheese so it melts on the egg. She grills up some turkey bacon. Adds in some nitrate-free turkey, sliced heirloom tomatoes and avocado. She'll add some crushed red pepper, mayo and mustard.

Next up: snacks. Lucy Hale is a big snacker. She loves snacking on pita bread and hummus. She likes all kinds of hummus, including original, red pepper, pine nut, garlic, thai curry and taco inspired hummus.

If she's trying to be healthier, she'll snack on celery hearts and carrots.

Lucy Hale's dog Elvis loves carrots, so she makes sure to share those with him.

When craving something sweet, Lucy will reach for Smart Sweets. She describes Smart Sweets as "healthy candy". She likes that each package has less than 100 calories, but it has a decent amount of candy in the bag.

They have peach rings, Swedish fish, gummy bears and sour gummy bears.

Lucy also likes ice cream bars and chocolate chip cookie dough frozen Greek yogurt bars.

If Lucy is at work, she'll Postmate her food. She's a big soup eater. While filming season 1 of Katy Keene, Lucy Hale solely survived on chicken wonton soup and vegetarian pho.  It was cold filming in New York, so the warm soup was comforting.

Lucy Hale's favorite weekend cheat meal dinner is shoestring French fries with a buttermilk ranch dressing, a really good burger and a diet Coke. She loves the restaurant Stout in Los Angeles. They have some unique burgers, including one with fig and caramelized onions.

Lucy Hale eats dinner early between 5-6PM. She has a newfound love of Thai curry. She's currently on a Thai curry dinner phase. Lucy tends to eat her favorite foods over and over until she's sick of it.

She also loves Bolognese. She loves pasta.

Lucy is guilty of eating snacks in bed. She eats when she's bored. She loves eating frozen grapes for dessert. It's like eating little popsicles. (Great tip!)

Side note: Lucy Hale's favorite food city is Barcelona. The weirdest thing she ate in Barcelona was peeled white asparagus mixed with sea urchin.

So that's what Lucy Hale eats in a day, as well as her daily routine. Thanks for sharing your food diary, Lucy Hale!
