PLL Cast Attends Troian Bellisario’s Wedding

Troian Bellisario, Spencer on PLL, got married to Suits actor Patrick Adams over the weekend. They’ve been engaged since February 2014, but they dated for three years before that. Troian Bellisario and Patrick J Adams officially tied the knot in Santa Barbara on Saturday December 10, 2016 with a beautiful rustic wedding. Most of Troian’s PLL costars attended the wedding and posted photos of the happy couple using the hashtag #fortday2016. Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Sasha Pieterse, Lulu Brud Zsebe, Keegan Allen, Ian Harding and Tyler Blackburn were all invited to Troian's wedding. Shay Mitchell couldn’t make it, though she did attend Troian Bellisario’s bachelorette party in Italy.

Troian Bellisario looked gorgeous in her wedding dress. Troian wore a white Cortana gown and a headpiece by Amaroq, according to Hello. And Patrick Adams wore a navy blue three-piece Ralph Lauren suit.

Newlyweds Troian and Patrick had a beautiful first dance at the reception. Troian also did the father-daughter dance with her dad, producer Donald P. Bellisario. (Troian Bellisario’s dad has created the hit shows NCIS, JAG and Magnum, P.I., among others).

They had a bonfire with a performance by singer Brendan Hines. Brendan Hines performed Bright Eyes’ “First Day of My Life” on his guitar. Troian Bellisario joined in halfway through. “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes has a special meaning for Troian. Troian felt like she wouldn’t be able to be an actor when she didn’t get accepted at New York University. She attended another university, but struggled to fit in. When Troian attended the University of Califorina’s acting program, she finally found her path to becoming an actor. “First Day of My Life” was a song that captured the emotional freedom she was feeling, Troian told The Wall Street Journal. It was the first time she felt awake to love.

PLL costar Shay Mitchell was unable to make it to the wedding because of her filming schedule. “Of course there is no where I'd rather be than @SleepintheGardn 's wedding but I am filming a movie on the east coast and can't travel... ” Shay tweeted.

Shay Mitchell posted a photo from Troian Bellisario’s Italy bachelorette party and wrote this heartfelt message to Troian: “To my big sister T on her wedding day. I love that we were able to close one very important chapter of our lives together and I am devastated not to be there as you embark on your next one. As I sit here thinking about our friendship and journey I am reminded of how much I love, cherish and admire you. Patrick Adams' friend and fellow actor Chris Pine attended the wedding. However, Patrick’s on-screen Suits fiance Meghan Markle did not attend the wedding, according to People.

Patrick Adams shared the sweet backstory behind calling their “Fort Day”: “8 years ago we built a pillow fort in my old apartment and started a conversation that has grown into a whole life. It was just a quiet shared idea that became a yearly tradition. This year we invited some more people. A lot more. And we made a wedding out of it. Three perfect days with friends and family. Kids screaming and laughing in the pool shouting "Fort Day" at the top of their lungs. Our incredible tribe lifting us up the same way they have for so many years. It's impossible to put into words how it all felt. Filled with so much gratitude that I'm lucky enough to have married my best friend. Love you @sleepinthegardn - can't wait to see what happens next. #fortday2016”.

Troian Bellisario summed up her wedding feelings with these words: “I can truly say that I have never had a more beautiful or happier three days in my life, but what's more incredible than that was that right in the middle of it I married my best friend. @halfadams I love you.
