Troian Bellisario Talks Potential Spencer & Caleb (Spaleb) Hookup

Are Spencer and Caleb dating now?  “Of Late I Think of Rosewood” showed that Spencer and Caleb have gotten pretty close during the five year time jump.  Caleb was even in Washington, D.C. with Spencer when she received Alison’s letter.  And in a promo for PLL season 6B, it looked like Toby possibly punches Caleb (thought it was hard to tell from the clip).  Is it crazy to think Spencer and Caleb may have hooked up?  According to Troian Bellisario, who plays Spencer on PLL, Caleb and Spencer have a lot in common.

“The interesting thing for me this season is that Spencer and Caleb have always had an incredible relationship.  They’re always the smartest people in the room, so they really respect each other, and they love hanging out. And the thing is, they both have incredible love for each other and for Hanna,” Troian told Bustle.

Troian went on to explore the possibility of Spencer and Caleb dating, despite their mutual love for Hanna.  Troian explains that Spencer and Caleb are both different people than they were in high school.  “First of all, they’re consenting adults that have aged five years.  And while of course you would hate it if one of your best friends got involved in a relationship with whom you loved in high school — that would be a huge betrayal — you don’t know these people after five years. They’re very different. They’ve gone through a lot of different things.”

PLL Season 6B Promo: Toby Punches Caleb?

Here's a new promo video for season 6B of PLL.  Most of the video shows what we have already seen in the previously released promo for the second half of PLL season 6, but there is one pretty huge moment in this promo that we haven’t seen before.

In this new season 6B promo, Toby punches someone.  We don’t see a face, but does it look like Toby punched Caleb?

PLL Romance Spoilers for Season 6

It’s time for a PLL romance checkup for season 6.  Things look pretty bleak for the Liars, since they will be traumatized from their time spent trapped in the dollhouse.  What’s in store for them romantically when they finally escape the dollhouse?  Pretty Little Liars executive producer Oliver Goldstick spilled some juicy spoilers to ET Online for Hanna, Aria, Spencer, Emily and Alison’s love lives.

Hanna and Caleb have always had a relatively stable relationship.  They have always had each other’s backs and have been supportive.  However, they may start to have some issues in season 6.  After escaping from the dollhouse, Hanna may start pushing Caleb away.

"Because of her trauma, she might not be able to appreciate how great Caleb is right away in [season] six”, Oliver Goldstick said.  Caleb, however, will continue to be the sweet boyfriend that we love.  "I think he's always been there to support her with every decision she makes, and I think he remains the perfect boyfriend in so many ways."  So it looks like there is still hope for Haleb fans.

Aria and Ezra have had ups and downs for the past few years and at the end of season 5 they were no longer together.  They managed to make it through the bombshell reveal that Ezra was keeping secrets and writing a book about Alison.  However, things started to fall apart when Ezra realized that Aria regretted missing out on the typical high school experience because of her secret relationship with him,.  Ezra thought Aria spending time away from him was the only way to have a healthy relationship in the future, but that pushed her closer to Andrew Campbell.

Andrew seemed pretty sweet and he clearly wanted to be the guy Aria turned to.  He acted a little suspicious the night Aria’s brother got beat up, though.  We also saw him eavesdropping on a phone conversation between Spencer's mom and Melissa.  And we can’t forget that “A”’s lair was at the old Campbell farm.  Which guy is in Aria’s future?

Oliver Goldstick gives some hope to all the Ezria shippers.  Looks like it isn’t going to be easy for Aria to stay away from Ezra.  “Part of her knows that she and Ezra need to go their separate ways, but something happens in the beginning of [season] six A that brings them very close together again.  This will be a challenge and they're both going to have to deal with it. It's a mixed message from the universe."

Don’t expect Ezra and Aria to get together right away, though.  PLL showrunner Marlene King said Aria and Ezra's breakup was necessary.

Spencer and Toby started having issues when Toby became a Rosewood police officer.  Spencer ended up kissing two guys, Johnny and British hottie Colin, when Toby kept pushing her away.  Spencer and Toby didn't break up, though.  They  kissed before "A" kidnapped Spencer.  However, in season 6 Spencer is going to be a bit preoccupied with investigating “A”.  That’s going to put her romantic life on the back burner for a while.

"Spencer will be challenged as well, but the great news is she's got an inside track at the Rosewood PD.  So Spencer -- who has always led a lot of this mystery train -- holds the key because she was obviously the first one to see [Charles'] movie.  I would just say that her romance may get a little addled by the mystery of it all, but that doesn’t mean her romance goes away completely".  So it doesn’t seem like we will see that much of Spoby in season 6.

Emily hasn’t had much luck in the romance department.  Her first girlfriend, Maya, is thought to be dead.  And her on-again/off-again girlfriend Paige moved to California.  Her romance with The Brew’s chef Talia was short-lived and seemed doomed to fail since she was married.  It looks like Emily has already met her soul mate, though.

"She might just realize that she's now got a soul mate closer to her than she ever thought.  And the dollhouse will have been a big factor in a shift of what Emily wants in a partner. Who and what she wants", Oliver said.

What does this mean for Paily and Emison fans?  We know Paige will be making an appearance in season 6.  Do you think Emily realizes Paige is her soul mate?  And is Maya really dead?  There have been hints that “A” may have tried to kill Maya.

Alison’s stint in jail meant that she didn’t have much of a romance life.  She was a bit busy fighting for her life.  Now that she’s out of jail, however, she may start up a new, unexpected romance.

"I think you're going to be excited that there's life after prison for Alison and that she doesn’t have to wear orange.  Once she puts on a different color she may be attracted to somebody in Rosewood who you won't expect -- an unlikely person. And an unlikely person might find her very attractive."

An ‘unlikely person’ is a pretty vague clue.  Anyone hoping for Alison and Noel hookup?  We still don’t know why Noel was helping Ali while she was on the run, but it seems like there is more to that story.

Or do you think the unlikely person could be Lucas?  Lucas has always hated Alison for bullying him.  He is one of the last people you would expect to hook up with Alison, which would make him an unlikely person.

Of course, it could also be a character we haven’t met before.  From behind-the-scenes photos that Sasha Pieterese posted, we know that Alison will meet Lorenzo Calderon, a new Rosewood police officer played by Travis Winfrey.  Maybe we'll see some sparks fly between Alison and Lorenzo?

No spoilers for Mona’s love life, but Mona and Mike are such a good couple.  Mona genuinely seemed to care about Mike and Mike was clearly in love with Mona.  Hope they continue dating when Mike finds out that Mona isn’t dead after all.

Hanna thinks Mike is buying jewelry for Alison in this sneak peek of Pretty Little Liars “Pretty Isn’t the Point”.

Hanna knows that Mike bought a necklace that said “I’m With You”.  She’s sure he must have bought it for Alison.  Mike’s been to her jail cell more than once, meeting up with Alison’s sketchy friends, leaving candygrams in the woods and withdrew a huge amount of money from “A”’s bank account last week.

Caleb isn’t supportive of Hanna’s plan to compete in a beauty pageant (Miss Teen, countywide).  He doesn’t want Hanna to parade around in a bikini and be judged like a heifer at a 4-H Fair. 

Caleb offers to call his mom in Santa Barbara.  The guy his mom is married to is loaded, so they can ask for a loan.  After Hanna’s dad slammed the door in her face, she doesn’t want to ask anyone else for help.

Caleb warns Hanna that the pageant world is squeaky-clean.  Last week, Hanna was modeling a hazmat suit and pushing around a barrel with a liquefied friend in it.

Hanna is still determined to compete in the pageant.  She doesn’t feel like she has any other choice.

PLL Sneak Peek 5x14: Caleb Teaches Aria How To Hack

In this sneak peek of “Through a Glass, Darkly” PLL episode 5x14, Aria stops by Caleb's place to bring him some coffee.  She asks Caleb about his decryption software.  Caleb has been working hard to decrypt Mona’s files, but he hasn’t had much luck.  Aria doesn’t know much about computer decryption, so he wants to know why she is really there.

Aria admits that she's worried about college.  She applied to six colleges.  She didn’t get into Brown, which she expected.  She is surprised that she got rejected from Oberlin, since she nailed the interview.  She wants to know if they really rejected her or if “A” had something to do with it.

Caleb decides to help Aria break into Oberlin’s database and find out why Aria was rejected.  Rather than do it for her, Caleb decides to teach her a bit of hacking.

Love seeing Aria and Caleb interacting.  And Aria learning to hack is definitely going to be interesting.  Can’t wait to see more of Aria and Caleb together!

Ezreb Coming Up at End of Season 5 of PLL

Get ready for some Ezreb fun!  Looks like Ezra and Caleb will be having a bromance on Pretty Little Liars.

Always nice to see a bromance on Pretty Little Liars.  The introduction of Ezreb will be in “I’m a Good Girl, I Am” PLL episode 5x24.

Toby and Caleb’s Budding Bromance on PLL

“Pretty Little Liars” stars Keegan Allen (Toby on PLL) and Tyler Blackburn (Caleb on PLL) discussed the season five bromance that evolves between Toby Cavanaugh and Caleb Rivers.

Keegan Allen loves Tyler Blackburn, but it is hard to film scenes with Tyler because they have so much fun and they both will start laughing over nothing.  Keegan will have to mentally prepare himself before filming with Tyler.  He’ll think about intense things and try not to look Tyler in the eye while they are filming a scene.

Tyler Blackburn brings up the fact that he hadn’t had scenes where he interacts with Ian Harding (Ezra), so there is an underlying thing with Keegan.  Tyler thinks that Toby and Caleb are similar because they are both orphaned, in a way.  He thinks it is great that Toby and Caleb have a bromance because this is a very girl-centric show.
