Lucy Hale Denies a PLL Janel Parrish Feud

Rumors have been swirling that there is a feud brewing on the set of Pretty Little Liars between Janel Parrish (Mona on PLL) and the other girls and that the PLL cast didn't support Janel’s DWTS opportunity, but Lucy Hale (Aria on PLL) has been quick to deny those rumors.

Looking back, there has been a lot of public support for Janel from the PLL cast and crew. Lucy has tweeted her support for Janel (when it was announced that Janel would be on DWTS and before the finals), Ashley Benson encouraged fans to vote for Janel on DWTS, Shay Mitchell has mentioned that it was sad Mona died but she can watch Janel on DWTS and PLL showrunner Marlene King, Brendan Robinson (Lucas on PLL) and Brant Daugherty (Noel on PLL) all came to DWTS to cheer Janel on from the audience.
Lucy Hale was also quick to shoot down rumors of another PLL feud previously, stating of her PLL cast mates “I love those three girls with my whole heart. If you’re going to spread rumors, at least say one of us is pregnant. Don’t say that we hate one another”.
It’s good to hear Lucy Hale deny the feud rumors, since the PLL family has been rooting for Janel Parrish on Dancing With the Stars throughout the whole season.

PLL Season 5 Finale “More Demented” Than Season 4 Finale
Looks like this season’s Pretty Little Liars finale will be more twisted than last season’s.
When asked if PLL episode 5x25 is better than 4x24, showrunner Marlene King tweeted “Comparing 525 and 424 is like apples and oranges. Two very difference beasts, 525 is more demented for sure”.
However, there will be some similarities between the season 5 finale and the season 2 finale. (The season 2 finale was “unmasked” 2x25. In that episode, the girls found out Mona was “A”).
And if we weren’t already excited enough for the season 5 finale, Marlene tweeted “525 will leaving you clutching your chest and gasping for breath. And then maybe you’ll say “OH NO THEY DIDN’T”.

PLL Cast Talks About Christmas Episode
The Pretty Little Liars Christmas episode is less than two weeks away and the cast has been talking about the upcoming episode. Here’s what they have to say.
Troian Bellisario (Spencer on PLL) talks about her character feeling out of place among all the couples at the Ice Ball, since Toby is home with a broken leg:

Janel Parrish’s Tearful Farewell Speech to Val
Janel Parrish credits Val for making DWTS the most amazing experience she’s ever had. Now that the show is over, it will be weird for Janel since she won’t see Val every day. Janel has grown to love Val as a person, so she is brought to tears as she expresses how much she’ll miss him.
Janel didn’t want to say goodbye to Val, since she’s sure she will see him again.

Janel Parrish Gets Third Place on DWTS
Dancing With the Stars has come to an end and, unfortunately for Janel Parrish, she did not go home with the Mirrorball Trophy. Alfonso Ribeiro and Whitney Carson won first place, followed by Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas. Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy ended up in third place.
Janel was gracious despite coming in third and she was positive about her experience. Janel said of Val “I honestly am just so lucky to be here standing next to him. You were my trophy in the entire season, so I’m happy”.
Janel’s final dance was a fusion between the foxtrot and paso doble dance, which the judges loved. Bruno thought they were absolutely amazing. Carrie Ann thought they were so dynamic, elegant, artistic and passionate. Len pointed out that Janel and Val have gotten more 10s from him than any other couple on the show.
All four judges gave them 10s, giving their final dance a perfect score.
Previously eliminated DWTS contestants came back and everyone performed the show opening. They danced to Pitbull’s “Celebrate”.

Brendan Robinson Talks “A”, Lucas, and Lucy Hale’s Music
Brendan Robinson, who plays Lucas on PLL, attended the T.J. Martell Foundation's 6th Annual Family Day. Lucy Hale was also there to sing, so Brendan was excited to watch Lucy perform live and see a whole different side to her.
Brendan discussed his PLL character Lucas, who he describes as misunderstood. Lucas has been stuck in the middle of things and he’s trying to get out safely. Lucas doesn’t want to incur the wrath of “A”.
Brendan doesn’t completely believe that Troian Bellisario and Ashley Benson know who “A” is, since he thinks only the writers know who “A” actually is.
When asked who he thinks “A” should be, Brendan brings up the interesting theory that “A” is Aria’s whole family working as a team. Brendan also thinks “A” could be Spencer, taking over the “A” game from Mona in the season 2 finale “unmAsked” 2x25.

Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy danced both the samba and freestyle on the Dancing With the Stars Finals.
Janel had a challenging week leading up to the competition, dealing with an injury and lack of rehearsal time.
Janel posted a photo of her bruised rib injury, writing “I had an ouchie today. Thank you @iamvalc for holding my hand and making me feel like a champ. Let's get it! Final three! #teamjanelskiy”.
Filming the Pretty Little Liars season 5 finale has also kept Janel busy, leaving her with less time to rehearse her dances. Janel tweeted “This week is rough. V and I barely have any time to rehearse”.
It was DWTS Judges’ Pick/Freestyle night, so Janel and Val danced the samba to Celia Cruz’s “La Vida Es Un Carnaval" for their first dance. Janel’s rib injury caused problems when Val grabbed her during the samba, so Janel had to ice the injury after the dance.
Bruno pointed out that Janel lost her balance due to her injury, but he thought it was a wonderful dance. Carrie Ann also saw that Janel lost her footing in the turns, but she thought Janel was a warrior. Len didn’t notice mistakes on the turns. He saw “great rhythmic dancing, mixed with a clarity and sharpness that is so hard to get”.
Carrie Anne, Julianne and Bruno gave Janel 9s, but Len gave a 10. That gave their samba a total score of 37.
Janel and Val’s freestyle dance was to "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by Sleeping At Last.
Bruno was moved by their dance, saying it “was the visualization of a love poem. It sprung from the heart, it touched everybody’s soul. So moving, so deeply felt, hypnotically beautiful”. Carrie Ann said their freestyle “went inside all of us and I think you changed us for a minute”. She thought they were immaculate as a team. Len said “it combined athleticism with artistry”. Julianne thought their breathtaking dance was honest and pure, showing the trust between Janel and Val.
All four judges gave Janel and Val’s freestyle dance 10s, giving the dance a total score of 40.

PLL Spoilers: Mona as Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future

Mona Vanderwaal may be dead, but that doesn’t mean she can’t haunt the Liars in the PLL Christmas episode “How the ‘A’ Stole Christmas” 5x13. Janel Parrish will be returning to play Mona as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future, complete with a creepy and cool Halloween-style costume.
Janel told zap2it that Mona will leave the Liars a clue in the Christmas episode. Mona left the clue to help the Liars figure out what happened.
There will also be Mona flashbacks in the Christmas episode. Janel posted this photo of a Hanna and Mona flashback to look forward to.

Lucy Hale Talks About Her Music and Dark PLL Christmas Episode
Lucy Hale chatted with Clevver News about balancing her music career with Pretty Little Liars. They shoot Pretty Little Liars episodes Monday through Friday. On the weekends Lucy travels to different cities for her music performances. And Lucy has been busy planning her second album.
Lucy also talked about the PLL Christmas episode 5x13, which will set up what happens in the remaining season 5 episodes. The Christmas episode is visually beautiful in terms of the sets and costumes, but actually it’s one of PLL’s darker episodes.

Shay Mitchell’s Pumpkin Patch Adventure
Shay Mitchell goes on a pumpkin patch adventure at Underwood Farms in a video she posted to her Youtube channel. Shay’s fashion advice for country living is gingham and plaid.
Shay and her friends explored a corn maze and raced to get out first. Shay ended up being the last one out.

Ezra and Andrew Working Together in PLL Season 5 Finale?
In the Pretty Little Liars season 5 finale “Welcome to the Dollhouse” 5x25, will Ezra and Andrew team up?
Brandon Jones (Spencer’s friend Andrew Campbell on PLL) and Ian Harding were hanging out on the set of PLL in this photo Brandon tweeted, along with the caption “Selfie time with @IANMHARDING #PLL”.
Of course, this photo doesn’t mean that their characters are in the same scene together. Maybe they were both just on set that day.
It would be pretty cool to see Ezra and Andrew working together though, since they haven’t had any interactions together so far. And we know we will be getting some Ezra and Caleb (Ezreb) in 5x24 “I’m a Good Girl, I Am”. Can’t wait to see all these new character pairings!

Shay Mitchell’s New Youtube Channel
Shay Mitchell has launched her own Youtube channel. She’ll post new videos every Tuesday. Her videos will be about hair, makeup, outfits, recipes, health, fitness and fashion.
Janel Parrish’s Paso Doble and Argentine Tango on DWTS
Janel Parrish and DWTS partner Val Chmerkovskiy impressed the judges last night when they danced the paso doble and Argentine tango to Calvin Harris’s song “Blame”.
Janel Parrish danced a perfect paso doble. Carrie Ann thought the dance was so good that she wanted more. Len said it was “just enough of everything to keep me satisfied”. He loved Janel’s technique and performance. Julianne felt like Janel and Val were one and that Janel is “in it to win it”. Bruno thought it was “fierce, bold, powerful like an untamed force of nature”. He said Janel set the stage on fire.
All the judges gave Janel 10s, giving their dance a perfect score of 40.
Janel also danced the Argentine tango in the unplugged round. Carrie Ann thought Janel is a dynamic performer, but her lift was ungraceful. Len thought it was “full of intensity, full of passion”. He agreed with Carrie Ann’s criticism, but said Janel is incredible dancer. Bruno loved the lifts, which he thought were expressive.
Carrie Ann and Len gave 9s, while Julianne and Bruno gave 10s. Their total score for the Argentine tango was 38 out of 40.
On the show, Janel and her family talked about relocating from Hawaii to Los Angeles and Janel’s rise to fame from playing Cosette in Les Miserable to being cast as Mona on Pretty Little Liars.
Janel’s Pretty Little Liars co-star Brant Daugherty said “There’s nobody who deserves success more than Janel. She’s so gracious and talented of course, but really she’s just such a hard worker”.
So awesome to see Janel nailing all the dances on DWTS. Don’t forget to vote for Team Janelskiy and watch next week’s DWTS when hopefully Janel will win the Mirror Ball trophy!

Lucy Hale on Theory That Aria is “A” and Ezria Trouble
Lucy Hale talked to ETonline about the popular fan theory is that Aria is actually “A” on Pretty Little Liars.
Lucy has heard those theories and she knows fans have picked up on little things that the show has purposely put in. Lucy thinks it would make sense if Aria was “A”, especially since Aria is always missing from the group of Liars.
Lucy would love it if her character actually turned out to be “A”. “As an actor, everyone wants to play the bad guy”, Lucy said.
Lucy has begged to find out who “A” is, but no one will tell her. Lucy thinks her co-stars Troian Bellisario (Spencer on PLL) and Ashley Benson (Hanna on PLL) found out who “A” is on accident and weren’t really supposed to know. The show wants to keep the identity of “A” a secret, since someone might accidentally spill who "A" is.
Lucy would have loved if Ezra turned out to be “A”, since it would be such a huge twist.
Lucy has also spilled that Ezra will give Aria a really touching gift in the PLL Christmas episode “How the ‘A’ Stole Christmas” 5x13.

Janel Parrish’s Quickstep Ends With a Kiss on DWTS
Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy danced the quickstep to Louis Prima and Keely Smith’s “Hey Boy, Hey Girl”. Their dance was spectacular and it ended with a kiss between Val and Janel.
Val apologized to Janel for messing up during the dance, when his patent leather shoes stuck together. Luckily, the judges were still impressed by their dance.
Julianne didn’t care about Val’s mistake. She thought their dance “was the best dance of the night so far”. Carrie Ann agreed with her. Bruno thought the dance was high quality and that “it was almost flawless”. Len said the quickstep is about hold, posture, and movement. He said Janel had them all.
Carrie Ann and Bruno gave 9s and Len and Julianne gave 10s. That gave them a total score of 38 for the dance.
Each team also had to perform a second dance last night. For their trio dance, Janel and Val danced the salsa with DWTS pro Keo Motsepe.
Julianne didn’t think there was a lot of salsa content in the dance, but she thought it was fun to watch and she loved it. Bruno called Janel a jungle queen. Carrie Ann said Janel is a superstar with star quality like Beyonce. She thought the dance was fearless and flawless.
Len gave a score of 9, which Carrie Ann, Julianne and Bruno all gave 10s.

Marlene King, PLL showrunner, posted a photo of Ashley Benson attending a Pretty Little Liars art department meeting.
In the photo it looks like Ashley is wearing an orange jumpsuit, similar to the kind the Liars wore for their community service when they were picking up trash in “Through Many Dangers, Toils, and Snares” PLL episode 2x14. Could Hanna be in trouble on PLL or is this just something Ashley was wearing?

PLL Spoilers: Oliver Kieran Jones Joins PLL Cast as Melissa’s Friend
Oliver Kieran Jones joins the Pretty Little Liars cast as Colin. He will play Melissa’s charming and good-looking British friend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Spencer will have scenes with him and this will be a recurring role. He will be in "The Melody Lingers On" PLL episode 5x21.
Since Melissa’s on the run, maybe he’ll have info on where she’s hiding?

Lucy also talked on the red carpet about her gorgeous red dress and her many rings. For accessorizing, Lucy’s motto is “the more, the better”. Her stylist wanted her to pick one ring, but Lucy chose all five. Lucy usually loves wearing tons of bracelets, too.
Too bad Lucy didn’t get to perform last night, but she did look gorgeous on the red carpet!

Lucy Hale (Aria on PLL) is a 2014 MTV EMA Artist On the Rise nominee.
Right now, 5 Seconds of Summer is in the lead, followed by Fifth Harmony, Nick Jonas, Jake Miller, and Lucy Hale. Head over to vote for Lucy Hale and push her towards first place.
Voting ends on November 9th. You can vote via Twitter, Instagram and Vine using the EMA-designated hashtags.

Carrie Ann said their dance was “the epitome of what dance is about”. Len, who was harsh in his criticism of them last week, this week said Janel showed him that she is a great dancer. And Julianne said their dance was breathtaking.
The judges all gave Janel and Val scores of 10, giving them a total score of 40.
