Lucy Hale’s “Lie a Little Better” About Drew Van Acker?

Lucy has said that her song “Lie a Little Better” is about a Pretty Little Liars castmate, but she didn’t name any names.  However, she has now given us a clue.

When asked if she is ever going to tell us who the song is about, Lucy tweeted “starts with a D!”

In season two, Lucy had a few romantic scenes with Drew Van Acker, who plays Alison’s older brother Jason DiLaurentis.  (Jason kissed Aria in 2x09 “Picture This”).

Lucy Hale rocked the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade when she sang her song “Lie a Little Better”.  Standing on the Pepperidge Farm Goldfish float, Lucy looked stylish and ready for the winter weather in a flared coat and black boots.

Lucy Hale takes us behind-the-scenes of her newest music video “Lie a Little Better” for her third webisode of “The Road Between With Lucy Hale”.  (If you haven’t already, check out the first webisode featuring Lucy’s hometown and second webisode showing Lucy’s visit to St. Jude Children’s Hospital).

Lucy explains that her music video for “Lie a Little Better” is performance-driven.  The concept of the video is to look at what a sound check and rehearsal would look like.  It shows how she would get ready and shows Lucy hanging with the band.  Lucy was really excited to film the video at the Opry.

Lucy Hale’s new music video “Lie A Little Better” was released yesterday.  “Lie a Little Better” is a song about a crush she had on one of her “Pretty Little Liars” castmates.  The video was filmed at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee when Lucy performed there recently.

Lucy Hale’s “So You Think You Can Dance” Performance

Did you catch Lucy Hale singing “Lie a Little Better” on “So You Think You Can Dance” last night?  Lucy performed on the same stage that she performed on eleven years ago when she was on American Juniors (back then she sang “I’m Gonna Make You Love Me). 

Before the performance, Janel Parrish (Mona on PLL) tweeted “Catch this pretty lady @lucyhale singing tonight on @DANCEonFOX 8 pm!!!  Kill it Luce!!”

Lucy Hale gave a performance of her new single “Lie a Little Better” from her album “Road Between” on Good Morning America yesterday.  Lucy Hale performed the song live in Times Square.

Lucy Hale talked about her Opry debut last weekend.  She said it was probably the coolest moment of her life.

Lucy also laughed about messing up a few words when she sang “Lie a Little Better”.

Looks like Lucy had a great time on GMA.  She even bonded with a dog that they had on set for another segment they were shooting.

Lucy Hale’s Song “Lie a Little Better” is about a PLL Castmate

“I used to have a crush on one of my castmates – and it’s not who you think.  My song ‘Lie a Little Better’ is about that experience” Lucy Hale has told US Weekly.

The lyrics for Lucy’s song “Lie a Little Better” are “The truth is I’m falling to pieces any time that you’re around.  The trouble is the truth keeps slipping out.  Can’t seem to hide what I’m feeling.  Can’t believe what I’m saying out loud.  Truth is there’s no turning back now.  I guess I should have learned how to lie a little better”.

Since she says it’s not about who we would think, that would probably eliminate Ian Harding (Ezra).  Her character has been involved with a few other guys on the show.  Could Ryan Guzman (Jake), Brant Daughtery (Noel), or Drew Van Acker (Ali’s older brother Jason) be the guy she’s singing about? 

Or maybe it’s a guy that her character has never been involved with romantically like Keegan Allen (Toby), Tyler Blackburn (Caleb) or Julian Morris (Wren)?

Regardless of who the song is about, "Lie a Little Better" is a really catchy song.
