Lucy Hale Reveals Her Real First Name on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Lucy Hale performed her song “Lie a Little Better” on The Ellen Degeneres Show yesterday, but before her performance Ellen asked Lucy a few questions. Lucy revealed her real first name and chatted about her awkward Fifty Shades of Grey audition.

Since Lucy Hale stars on Pretty Little Liars and Lucy is pretty and little, Ellen asked if she is also a liar.  Despite playing a liar on television and singing songs about lying, Lucy said that she tries to be an honest person.

Lucy let the audience in on a small “lie”.  Her first name isn’t really Lucy.  It’s actually Karen.  

Ellen asked Lucy about her Fifty Shades of Grey movie audition. (The movie is based on the erotic romance Fifty Shades trilogy written by E. L. James). Lucy said the audition was awkward, but she’s looking forward to watching the movie.  Unfortunately, she was told that she had a baby face and it would be weird if she was cast in the role. The role of Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey eventually went to actress Dakota Johnson. Ellen agreed that Lucy looks too young for the role of Anastasia Steele.

Ellen gave Lucy a random gift of light bulbs, which Lucy was surprisingly enthusiastic about. Lucy said she would frame the lightbulbs instead of using them.

Later, Lucy did an awesome performance of her song “Lie a Little Better”.  The lucky audience members were able to take home Lucy’s debut album Road Between.
