The new Big Bad will be more dangerous than the previous “A”s when PLL returns for the second half of season 6. The new “A” raises the stakes and isn’t playing games with the Liars. For this new “A”, it’s all about revenge and getting answers.

PLL stars Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Sasha Pieterse explained to MTV how this new villain is different than Mona and Charlotte (CeCe). “The situations are more life or death, so it’s not just all dolls and games. There’s none of that stuff. It’s definitely not fun and games — he’s not trying to play with them. He threatens them,” Ashley Benson said.
Lucy Hale agreed. “It’s definitely life or death, and it’s smarter and edgier and deadlier. The stakes are definitely a lot higher. It’s not ’I’m going to expose your secrets.’ It’s 'I’m going to kill you if you don’t give me what I want,'” Lucy said.
Ashley Benson, Hanna on PLL, is excited about Hanna’s new life and new relationship. When we return for season 6B of Pretty Little Liars, Hanna will be engaged. Unfortunately for Haleb fans, she isn’t engaged to Caleb. However, Ashley is ready to explore Hanna's new storyline.
Ashley Benson told TVLine “I’m excited for her to have this new chapter in her life”. Ashley is ready for the change of pace that these new developments will bring to the show.
Ashley was a little disappointed that Hanna isn’t a mother after the five year time jump. In the video of the first four minutes of episode 6x11 “Of Late I Think of Rosewood”, it looked like Hanna had a kid. It turned out Hanna was only watching the toddler until the kid’s mother returned. “I was so excited when I first read that scene. When I read on and realized it wasn’t hers, I was like, ‘No!'” Ashley said.
Lucy Hale, Aria on PLL, shows off her fishing skills in this OTF/“On The Fly” video. Lucy played the Let’s Go Fishin’ game and tried to catch as many toy fish as she could with a tiny fishing pole.
Lucy used to go fishing with her dad, so this Let's Go Fishin' game was pretty easy for her.
Aisha Dee (Chasing Life), Noah Reid (Kevin From Work), Matt Murray (Kevin From Work) and Sherri Saum (The Fosters) also appear in the video to test their fishing skills.
It’s finally here. Lucy Hale and Rascal Flatts recorded a country version of the song “Let It Go” from Disney’s popular movie Frozen and we can finally listen to their version of the song. Lucy Hale and Rascal Flatts recorded this duet for the “We Love Disney” album.
Lucy also talked about working with Rascal Flatts, who happen to be her favorite band. They are the reason Lucy fell in love with country music. She still can’t believe she got to perform a duet with them.
ABC Family has released a new promo video of PLL season 6B showing what we can expect to see when Pretty Little Liars returns for episode 6x11 in January. The video contains tons of spoilers about the Liars and what they are going through after the five year time jump.
In the video, we see Charlotte DiLaurentis (CeCe Drake) ask Alison if she thinks the Liars are still upset with her.
Alison wants the Liars to tell the court that they aren’t afraid of Charlotte (CeCe), but the Lairs aren’t too happy with Alison asking them to lie about their feelings. Spencer says she thought lying for Alison again wouldn’t matter, but it did.
It looks like Hanna has an engagement ring on. And Haleb is over, at least for now. We see Hanna kissing a new guy.
The season 6B five-year time jump on Pretty Little Liars is bringing a lot of changes. The Liars have new jobs, new relationships and new looks. Spencer's new hairstyle shocked some PLL fans. She now has bangs.
PLL fans were split over Spencer’s new look. Fans passionately hated or loved the bangs. PLL actress Troian Bellisario wondered why people were so emotional over her character’s new look.
“I love that a hairstyle can be so divisive-It's either "luv it!" Or "I hate you b/c u made a change to ur appearance" can hair just be hair?” Troian tweeted.
It wasn’t too long ago that the cast of PLL did a photo shoot, but they had to do another top secret PLL photo shoot soon after. They weren’t allowed to say much about the shoot, but they posted some cool behind-the-scenes photos and videos.
Lucy Hale (Aria) took a selfie with celebrity and fashion photographer Yu Tsai . She captioned the photo “Always a joy to see this one@yutsai88”.
Shay Mitchell (Emily on Pretty Little Liars) takes part in a dart challenge in ABC Family’s OTF (“On The Fly”) video.
Before the challenge, Shay said that she really good at darts. And she did do pretty good in the challenge. She came in second place. Kyle Harris (Stitchers) got the highest score beating Shay out for first place. Jonathan Sadowski (Young & Hungry) came in third place. Lea Thompson (Switched at Birth) finished in fourth place, followed by Allison Scagliotti (Stitchers).
Ashley Benson faced backlash from people when she posted a photo of herself modeling a lion costume. Some people were upset with the caption of the photo, which referred to Cecil the lion. (Cecil was a Southwest African lion that was killed in July).
The caption originally read “Help! Can’t decide on my Halloween costume this year! What do you guys think of this Cecil the Lion costume?@yandy #thanksyandy#halloweencostume”.
After angry comments started flooding in, the words “Cecil the Lion” were changed to just “lion” on her Instagram photo.
Ashley quickly responded to the backlash by posting this apology to Instagram:
Does actress Troian Bellisario (Spencer on PLL) have a future in directing? Troian recently shadowed PLL director Roger Kumble while he directed Pretty Little Liars episode 6x19 “Did You Miss Me?”. Troian was thrilled at the opportunity to learn from the PLL director. “How lucky am I that I get to shadow my good friend and amazing director @rogerkumble on an episode written by @badge714” Troian wrote.
Troian seemed relieved that she wasn't the one in high heels on the PLL set. She posted this selfie and captioned it “Shadowing means no make up. Comfortable clothes and telling@shaym what to do in heels.”
The PLL cast went to New York last weekend for New York Comic Con. While they were there, Lucy Hale (Aria) and Sasha Pieterse (Alison) spent some time hanging out together.
Lucy Hale posted this photo of Sasha shopping at Barneys. Lucy captioned the photo “Taking Sasha's Barneys New York virginity. I'm not sorry.@sashapieterse27”.
Shay Mitchell was on the Rachael Ray Show and she talked about her role in the upcoming romantic comedy Mother’s Day. In Mother’s Day, Shay plays the stepmother to the kids of Jennifer Aniston’s character.
Mother’s Day is Shay’s first role in a big movie. Shay couldn’t believe she had scenes with Jennifer Aniston, who she described as amazing.
Shay is also a big fan of the director Garry Marshall. Garry also directed Pretty Woman, which Shay has watched a million times.
PLL stars Lucy Hale (Aria), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Troian Bellisario (Spencer), Shay Mitchell (Emily) and Sasha Pieterse (Alison) all attended New York Comic Con over the weekend. The actresses all looked stunning as they signed autographs and talked about the upcoming season of Pretty Little Liars.
Alison DiLaurentis will be married to Dr. Rollins when PLL returns for the second half of season 6, but that doesn’t mean Alison’s last boyfriend Officer Lorenzo Calderon has left Rosewood.
Actor Travis Winfrey, who plays Lorenzo on PLL, has confirmed that he will be in season 6B. He posted this photo with the caption “Yeah I'll be in 6b And I still love you.”
Travis’s “I still love you” comment is directed towards PLL fans who aren’t happy with Lorenzo’s presence on the show. A lot of hate has been sent Travis’s way on social media from PLL fans who didn’t like his character.
Lucy Hale will be on ABC Family’s special documentary Baring It All: Inside New York Fashion Week.

The episode opens with Alison DiLaurentis in her new teaching job at Rosewood High. She’s reading Shakespeare’s Sonnet 30 to her class.
Dr. Rollins comes in after her class ends to tell her that the judge set a date for Charlotte/CeCe’s hearing. Apparently, he’s been helping Alison in her attempt to get Charlotte released. Dr. Rollins warns Alison that the court can compel the Liars to come, but he doesn’t think they will be sympathetic towards Charlotte. Alison is sure her friends will back her up and support Charlotte’s release. Alison writes a letter to her friends regarding Charlotte’s hearing.
Pretty Little Liars is undergoing a lot of changes for season 6B. Besides the five year time jump, we will also get a new opening sequence. In the new opening sequence, Alison DiLaurentis joins the Liars and is in the center of the group.

Say goodbye to ABC Family. ABC Family, home of Pretty Little Liars, is changing its name to Freeform in January 2016.
Why the name change and the rebranding? “Freeform evokes the spirit and adventure of our audience. Freeform will deliver new, exciting original content as well as all the favorite shows our viewers already love on ABC Family," ABC Family President Tom Ascheim said.
This rebranding is part of ABC Family’s push to attract ‘Becomers’. “The name Freeform speaks to the mindset and attitude of what the channel has defined as Becomers. Traditionally, Becomers are in high school, college and the decade that follows and are navigating the wonderful, fun, exciting, and scary time in life when you experience the most firsts – first car, first apartment, first job, first love, first heartbreak – all the firsts that exists between who they are and who they want to become. Becomers represent a life stage rather than a generation,” according to ABC Family’s press release.
Want to be a part of the Freeform campaign? You can go to FreeformFan.com and submit a photo/video of the word Freeform inspired by the things you love. Your photo/video may be featured in the Freeform campaign. (Ends 11/30/15. Open 2 US&DC/13+. Rules).
Not sure how to feel about this name change. It will definitely take a while to get used to. What do you think of Freeform as ABC Family’s new name? Hate it or love it?
Pretty Little Liars stars Ashley Benson (Hanna on PLL), Lucy Hale (Aria on PLL) and Shay Mitchell (Emily on PLL) shared stories about the first time they lived alone in this “On the Fly” video.
Ashley Benson said “it was a typical eighteen-year-old’s apartment. Messy and so disgusting”.
Lucy Hale's first time living alone was when she was nineteen. “My mom moved out to LA with me from about fifteen to eighteen. She moved back to Tennessee when I was nineteen and was super excited up until the next day when she left and I woke up and there was no one there to make me breakfast or do my laundry,” Lucy said.
Shay Mitchell’s first time living alone was in Canada. “First time living alone was when I moved to Toronto. It was this beautiful character building. Four floors and I was absolutely in love with it. I had my own little balcony, my own little kitchenette. And although it was old and there were a lot of problems with it, it was my own and that’s all that mattered and I had a lot of great memories there”.
OTF/“On the Fly” video featuring PLL cast talking about living alone:
Troian posted this video of the prank she and Shay pulled off on Ashley. Troian and Shay hid in the dark and screamed as Ashley came through the door. Troian captioned the video “Gotcha @itsashbenzo (ps @shaym and I are evil. Just listen to us laugh)”.
The Liars are all grown up and absolutely gorgeous at their latest photo shoot. The five year time jump on PLL makes it feels like a new show and we are getting some cool new photos to go along with the show for season 6B. Last week, the PLL cast had a Pretty Little Liars photo shoot and the girls snapped some awesome behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot.
Ashley Benson (Hanna on PLL) posted some ButtahBenzo photos with Shay Mitchell (Emily on PLL).
Do you remember which PLL season one episode got you hooked on the show? According to Netflix, it probably wasn’t the pilot episode.
Netflix did a study examining which episode hooks fans onto a television show. They used viewing patterns to figure out which episode resulted in 70% of viewers deciding to watch the entire season of the show. Surprisingly, the pilot episode of a show isn’t the episode that gets people to stay with a show for the rest of the season.
For Pretty Little Liars, 1x04 “Can You Hear Me Now” was the episode that hooked fans. In that episode, “A” sends a note to Aria’s mom. Aria’s mom finds out her husband had an affair with his student and that Aria kept it a secret.
The fourth episode seemed to be a common episode that got people hooked on a series. Shows like Better Call Saul, Bloodline and Grace & Frankie also hooked people by the fourth episode. Some shows, like Breaking Bad and Bates Motel, hooked people by the second episode.
The pilot of PLL was pretty good. Were you obsessed with PLL after watching the pilot episode or did it take some time to get addicted to PLL? Which episode hooked you on Pretty Little Liars?
