How Ashley Benson & Shay Mitchell Got Nickname ButtahBenzo

Wonder how PLL besties Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell got the name ButtahBenzo?  Here is Shay Mitchell’s explanation for how the nickname came about.

Shortly after Shay Mitchell first came to Los Angeles and landed the role of Emily Fields on Pretty Little Liars, Shay also shot a music video for Sean Paul.  Sean Paul was always joking around with Shay’s name and he came up with the name ShayButtah.

Ashley Benson’s nickname has always been AshBenzo.

So they put ShayButtah and AshBenzo together to become ButtahBenzo.

Sasha Pieterse is Engaged to Hudson Sheaffer (Photos)

Sasha Pieterse (Alison on PLL) had an extra special holiday.  She got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Hudson Sheaffer!  (They’ve been dating for at least three years).  Sasha Pieterse and Hudson Sheaffer have shared many sweet Instagram photos over those years, including last Christmas when they added two Great Danes (Lady and Levi) to their family.  Now the two of them have shared sweet proposal photos.

Trailer for Troian Bellisario's Horror Film ‘Martyrs’

Troian Bellisario (Spencer on PLL) stars in the creepy horror movie Martyrs, which is a remake of the Pascal Laugier’s 2008 French horror movie Martyrs.

In Martyrs, Troian Bellisario plays a woman who seeks out revenge on those who victimized and abused her and her childhood friend.  Martyrs also stars Caitlin Carmichael and Kate Burton.

If Pretty Little Liars isn’t creepy enough for you, then check out Troian Bellisario in Martyrs.  Martyrs hits theaters January 22nd.  It will be available on demand, DVD and Blu-Ray on February 2nd.

Another new character introduced to Rosewood?  Troian Bellisario posted this photo of actor Brandon Firla, who you may recognize as Jonathan Sidwell on Suits.  (Troian’s fiancé Patrick J. Adams stars on Suits and Troian has guest-starred on a couple episodes of the show).  Troian captioned this photo “This is Brandon Firla. He's everything to Spencer now. Her love. Her life. Her manager. #gilgamesh (do you recognize him from #suits ?)”

Looks like they all had a great time at Ashley’s birthday party!  Although the rest of the PLL cast were not at the party, they all sent Ashley sweet birthday messages on social media.

PLL 6B Spoilers: Liars Still Making Mistakes and Committing Break-Ins

The Liars may have changed during the five year time jump, but expect them to still fall back into old habits and make bad choices.  Troian Bellisario (Spencer) and PLL showrunner Marlene King talk about Spencer’s future and gave some PLL spoilers in this interview.

The Liars will have new jobs, clothes, and hairstyles (check out Spencer's new bangs), but their roles remain the same.  “Spencer is definitely leading the charge”, Troian said.  “Even though these girls are five years older, they still fall into the same roles and relationships with each other.”  There’s a wonderful moment in season 6B when the girls turn to Spencer and ask her what to do.

The Liars try to fight against these old habits.  They keep saying “I don’t do this anymore”, but they end up using bad judgment anyway.  Marlene spilled that the Liars will break into Veronica Hastings’s office.

We know Spencer will be in the world of politics when PLL returns in January.  When asked what Spencer’s alternate career would be, Troian Bellisario almost gives another spoiler.  Marlene quickly stops Troian before she can tell us what might be next in Spencer’s career path.

PLL Cast Sends Birthday Wishes to Ashley Benson

Ashley Benson (Hanna on PLL) turned 26 yesterday and the entire Pretty Little Liars cast sent her birthday wishes on social media.

Shay Mitchell (Emily) posted a ButtahBenzo photo and wrote “Happy Birthday to my one and only... My "mewnie", the Benzo to my Buttah, lil one, blondie and one of my closest friends. I love you to the moon and back and can't wait to celebrate your old age!!! #yourecatchinguptome !!! 👵🏻❤️👵🏽”.

New PLL Season 6 Poster: Another Funeral

Get ready for another PLL death.  All the Liars are wearing sunglasses and looking grown-up in this sexy new PLL season 6 poster.  In the photo, the Liars are carrying a coffin.  (Take a look at the other promotional PLL season 6 poster released earlier).

The poster’s tagline is “Are you strong enough to carry your secrets?”, which hints at the new secrets we expect to see when PLL returns.  From the PLL November special “5 Years Forward”, we know Emily returns to Rosewood with a secret that she doesn’t even share with her friends.  And in the promo video for season 6B, we learn that Aria did something on September 12 that she wants to keep hidden.

Now we finally know that the PLL photo shoot back in October was for this poster.  Check out the behind-the-scenes photos of the girls at the photo shoot for the promotional PLL season 6B poster.

Keegan Allen with 'Star Wars' Actress Daisy Ridley

Looks like Keegan Allen (Toby on PLL) is a Star Wars fan.  Keegan took photos with Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress Daisy Ridley.  He also posed with R2-D2 and C-3PO.

Keegan Allen tweeted this photo of himself with the Star Wars robots R2-D2, C-3PO and BB-8.  He wrote “Coolest machine puppies (r2d2/C3PO/BB-8) dreams do come true #TheForceAwakens”.

Robert Aguire Joins PLL Cast as Aria’s New Boyfriend Liam Greene

Actor Robert Aguire is joining season 6B of PLL as Aria Montgomery’s new boyfriend Liam Greene.  This will be a recurring role.

Liam Green is “a handsome editorial assistant from Boston who is a sweet, doting professional”, according to The Wrap.

Lucy Hale (Aria) mentioned Aria’s new boyfriend Liam in the Pretty Little Liars November special “5 Years Forward”.  Lucy Hale has also hinted at the love triangle her character will be in when Aria gets torn between Liam and Ezra.

Pretty Little Liars isn’t Robert’s first time on a television show.  He played Orion in two episodes of NCIS: New Orleans.

Robert Aguire’s film credits include Boulevard, which was one of Robin Williams’s last films. Robert was also in Redemption and The Morning After.

Robert Aguire is currently dating Harry Potter star Emma Watson (Hermione Granger).

Season 6B of Pretty Little Liars will bring a lot of new faces.  Actor Huw Collins is joining the PLL cast as Dr. Rollins and Ashley Benson was happy to work with her friend and fellow Days of Our Lives actor Blake Berris.

The Pretty Little Liars posters tend to be controversial.  PLL stars Ashley Benson (Hanna) and Troian Bellisario (Spencer) have both criticized how much previous PLL posters were photoshopped.

What does the PLL cast think of the new season 6B poster?  Lucy posted a photo of it with the caption “Grown up and still dirty.”  PLL showrunner Marlene King captioned the poster “Still playing in the dirt.”

The dirt in the poster may be hinting at the mysterious death we will see in season 6B.  Marlene King has talked about a death that will cause the new Big Bad to seek revenge.

PLL Cast Talk Favorite Coffee

The PLL cast loves coffee.  They often post behind-the-scenes photos of themselves on set with their favorite coffee drinks.  Ever wonder what kind of coffee they love?  Ashley Benson (Hanna on PLL), Shay Mitchell (Emily on PLL) and Troian Bellisario (Spencer on PLL) share their favorite coffee orders in this ABC Family OTF/“On The Fly” video.  Unfortunately Lucy Hale (Aria), who loves coffee, isn’t featured in this video.

Ashley Benson’s go-to coffee order is a large ice coffee with a third of hazelnut powder and extra ice.

Shay Mitchell loves ordering ice coffee with one packet of brown sugar and a tiny drop of almond milk.

Troian Bellisario orders iced coffee with some almond milk.

Troian Bellisario Shares Funny Fan Mail Photos

Troian Bellisario, Spencer on PLL, gets a lot of fan mail.  (Here’s Troian Bellisario’s fan mail address).  Troian shared lots of fan mail photos that she wrote funny captions on.

Troian seems to get a lot of photos with requests for her to sign them.  Unfortunately, fans often send photos of someone else entirely.  (Lucy Hale, Aria on PLL, will be able to relate to that.  Lucy’s fans have mistaken her for actress Selena Gomez).

"Hey Tod I don't know who this is but it's not me!" Troian wrote after a fan requesting an autograph sent her photo of someone else to sign.

Sometimes signing fan mail is the best.
