Sasha Pieterse Fav PLL Theory: Charles and Maya on the ‘A’ Team

Sasha Pieterse (Alison on PLL) has heard a lot of fan theories, but her favorite theory involves Emily’s presumed dead ex-girlfriend Maya.

"My favorite theory is that Charles and Maya are working together.  After Maya died, I've constantly heard theories that she faked her death and she's part of The A Team. I think it's pretty brilliant actually.  You never saw her dead body, you only saw her body bag. You never know!" Sasha Pieterse told Us Weekly.

Although Sasha likes that theory, she does think that Charles is the only “A”. "I honestly think Charles is the A, but knowing [series creator] Marlene [King], I might be wrong", Sasha said.

Interesting theory, since "A" may have had a run-in with Maya at some point.  PLL executive producer Oliver Goldstick has said that "A" may have tried to kill Maya.  Do you think Maya is alive and working with Charles?

Maya’s sudden death back in season 2 of PLL left us with some unanswered questions.  Maya seemed to know what was going on, but we never really found out exactly what she knew.  Did “A” actually try to kill Maya?

TVLine asked PLL executive producer Oliver Goldstick about the significance of Spencer mentioning Maya on the Pretty Little Liars season 5 finale “Welcome to the Dollhouse”.  (Spencer called Emily a quitter when they staged their fight to distract “A”.  Spencer said Emily quit the swim team, quit Maya and quit Paige).

Oliver said “I think that’s a word that would make ‘A’ perk up, just as it made you perk up. Given Maya’s history with the series — she was sort of clued in by the end, and possibly had some answers — it was not ‘A’ that killed her, but that doesn’t mean ‘A’ didn’t try.”

Do you think Maya figured out who “A” was before she died?  Or do you think Maya is still alive? 

Who Does Shay Mitchell Want Emily to End Up With?

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Shay Mitchell took a trip down memory lane and talked about all of Emily’s relationships.

Shay shared what first comes to mind when she thinks of Emily’s previous girlfriends:

Maya – First.
Samara – Cute.  Blonde and bubbly.  Shay loved working with Claire Holt (Samara on PLL).
Alison – Seductive.  She knows how to play it off just the right amount.
Paige – Amazing.  She’s been with Emily through thick and thin. 
Talia – Interesting.  Shay’s waiting to see where the relationship heads.

Is Shay on Team Paily?  When asked who Shay Mitchell personally think Emily fits best with, her answer was Paige.

Shay loves working with Lindsey Shaw (Paige on PLL).  “She’s so great and we probably had the longest relationship, so that's probably one that I'm most attached to”.  Shay also said that she thinks Paige is really great with Emily.

Emily’s First Girlfriend Maya St. Germain as “A”?

Maya St. Germain was killed by her stalker ex-boyfriend Nate, right?  In an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Sasha Pieterse (Alison on PLL) talks about the craziest fan theories she’s heard.

Sasha thinks the craziest theory is that Maya is “A”, but she also thinks that theory makes a bit of sense.  Sasha says “when you don’t see their body – if they’re in a body bag – there’s a good chance that they might not actually be dead.  And we never saw Maya’s body!”

There certainly are some questions surrounding Maya.  Remember when Mona used her secret code with Hanna?  Mona said “Miss Aria, you’re a killer, not Ezra’s wife”.  That was code for “Maya Knew”.  Did we ever find out exactly what Maya knew and how involved she was in everything happening in Rosewood?  She knew Noel, which was something none of the liars knew when Maya was alive.  So Maya seemed to have a few secrets of her own.

However, we don’t know of any reason why Maya would want to torment the girls.  Her relationship with Emily seemed genuine and she had seemed to get along with the other Liars.  So what possible motive would she have for torturing the girls?

PLL Actress Bianca Lawson Joining Cast of Witches of East End

Maya St. Germain may be dead, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep watching actress Bianca Lawson on television. Bianca Lawson, who played Emily’s first girlfriend Maya St. Germain on Pretty Little Liars, is joining the cast of Witches of East End for season two.

Witches of East End is about sisters who discover that they are witches with ancient powers. They must use their powers to fight enemies. The Lifetime TV series is actually based on the book series Witches of East End written by Melissa de la Cruz. Melissa de la Cruz is also the author of the best-selling Blue Bloods series, which is a series of vampire novels.

Bianca Lawson will have a recurring role on the show as a witch named Eva. Bianca will appear as Eva on ten episodes of Witches of East End.
