Shay Mitchell Talks About Her Insecurities

Shay Mitchell (Emily on PLL) stopped by The Meredith Vieira Show and discussed the insecurites she struggled with when she was growing up.

Shay was insecure with her looks.  She wanted straight hair and green eyes, so her mom would straighten her hair for her.  One time, her best friend tried to help Shay straighten her hair and accidentally burned her hair.

Shay doesn’t think teens should have cosmetic surgery.  Shay regrets dyeing her hair and wearing colored contacts.  She thinks people should celebrate who they are and embrace what they are born with.

Shay also discussed playing a lesbian on Pretty Little Liars.  Shay has seen the impact Emily’s relationships have had on PLL fans.

Drew Van Acker Describes Weird Fan Moment

Drew Van Acker (Jason on PLL) attended the “Keep a Secret 2” Pretty Little Liars convention in Paris and discussed a weird fan moment.

Drew told the audience that he once got hit in the head with a Pretty Little Liars t-shirt at the Chicago airport.  When he turned around, the PLL fan screamed “I love you Jason”.

Drew also talked about his upcoming Western movie, how he feels about his character Jason, and his surprise at the Jason and Ashley Marin hookup.

Janel Parrish sings in Coca-Cola’s “Come On Get Happy (Remix)” music video.  Janel Parrish is joined by tons of other artists (Victoria Justice, Jordin Sparks, Samuel Tsui, Bea Miller, Jack Gilinsky, Jack Johnson, Chris Collins, Brent Rivera, Nolan Gould and Andrea Russett).

This music video is a campaign to make the Internet a happier place.  They want people to take part in the Smile Petition by taking a photo flashing the hashtag sign and posting it to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with #MakeItHappy.

Shay Mitchell Sad About Paily Breakup on PLL

Shay Mitchell (Emily on PLL) discussed her initial reaction to the Emily and Paige breakup in an interview with Wetpaint.

Shay said “I was so sad! Honestly, I love Lindsey Shaw so much. She's so amazing and I love her presence on set. So I was like — Wait a minute, how long is she going for? And they were like, Ummm, undecided for right now.

It's always tough, because you get really close with the actor that you've been working with, and then when they're not going to be working as much, it's kind of disappointing. Also, for my character, it's just heartbreaking. But they have been up and down more often than not, so I think maybe it would be a good thing to get a break.”
