Lucy Hale Visits Children’s Hospital Los Angeles & Plays Words With Friends 2

Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale visited the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles over the weekend. At the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Lucy Hale played an undercover game of Words With Friends 2 with a 17-year-old patient named Laura who is being treated for cancer. “She didn’t know who she was playing with and I got to come in and surprise her!” Lucy Hale said.

Laura is a Pretty Little Liars fan, so she was surprised that she was playing against Lucy Hale.

Lucy Hale is a huge Words With Friends fan. She’s always traveling on set, so it’s a fun way for her to pass the time. “Also to connect with loved ones and meet new people,” Lucy added.

Lucy Hale and her PLL co-star Troian Bellisario used to play Words With Friends on the Pretty Little Liars set. "The thing about being on set is that there's a lot of work to be done, but there's also waiting around. So you have to find things to do to pass the time. I want to say that I used to play Words With Friends with Troian [Bellisario] and then with some of the hair and makeup people. We would have ongoing games", Lucy Hale told InStyle.

Lucy Hale tweeted "Had so much fun visiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and playing my new obsession #WordsWithFriends2   Thank you to @WordsWFriends for donating $75K to the children@ChildrensLA @Zynga #sponsored".

Lucy Hale was grateful for the chance to reach out the patients. "I’ve been told that these little moments really can make a difference to some of the patients. It's honestly the least I could do, and it made me equally as happy to go there. I felt very grateful that I got to be a part of the experience", she explained.

“I feel very fortunate to be here,” Lucy Hale said in the video below:
