Lucy Hale’s Trip to Mexico City with the Charity ‘Smile Train’

Once again, PLL actress Lucy Hale has shown what a big heart she has. Lucy Hale headed to Mexico City with the charity Smile Train to help children with cleft lips. (The rest of the PLL cast were also traveling that week. Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell joined Troian Bellisario in Italy for her bachelorette party.)

Lucy Hale traveled with Smile Train, which is an international children’s charity that raises money for corrective cleft lip and palate surgeries. Lucy stayed in Mexico City for three days and was joined by her friend Janelle Hansen. She met the patients, visited hospitals and watched a surgery.

Lucy Hale may also travel with Smile Train to Haiti. “I think I’m going to go on another trip with them in Haiti, which will be really interesting. In Mexico City, the hospitals are really nice, but in Haiti, it’s third world, so it’s going to be very different" Lucy told InStyle.

Lucy Hale has a history of working with Smile Train. On Lucy’s birthday, she asked people to donate to Smile Train instead of getting her gifts. And proceeds from ‘The Best Ship’ Ezria shirts went to both Smile Train and the Lupus Foundation of America.
