Backstage after the dance, Sasha Pieterse was asked what her first experience on the dance floor was like for her.
"Honestly, amazing. I'm a little bummed cause it wasn't my best. I think I'd done it better before, but I'm still really happy. And I'm so thankful to have [Gleb] because he kept me going and he's an amazing teacher and amazing friend. So this experience is just incredible. And first week's done!"
Despite Sasha Pieterse's disappointment, her dancing pro partner Gleb Savchenko was full of praise. When asked how Sasha did on week one, he said "She did amazing. Cha Cha out of the way. It's a pretty hard dance."
The interviewer made Sasha feel better by telling her that he got voted off Dancing with the Stars with his Cha Cha routine, so he knows how hard of a dance it is.
Gleb explained, "It's hard to perform live in front of everybody. Find the cameras, keep the rhythm and keep the technique going and be on time, but she was awesome."
"I'm so proud of you and I'm looking forward to next week," Gleb told Sasha.
Next week, Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko will dance the Viennese Waltz, which is ballroom. They actually will do two dances, but Gleb isn't spilling what the other dance is.
Performing on Dancing with the Stars is great prep for the first dance at Sasha Pieterse's upcoming wedding. Sasha's fiancé, Hudson Sheaffer, has been supportive of Sasha joining DWTS. He's at the studio all the time with her. He loves it.
Hudson was actually across the room while Sasha was talking in the video below. He was waiting for Sasha while she did the backstage interviews.
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 PM ET/PT on ABC. Remember to vote for Sasha Pieterse after each episode!
