Good Trouble will premiere January 8, 2019. The pilot episode is titled DTLA (watch episode 1x01 on Amazon). It has a 13-episode order for season one. Good Trouble centers around Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez). They move to Los Angeles to begin their lives as young adults.
Hayden Byerly will guest star on Good Trouble as Jude.

The parents will also be guest starring on the spinoff show. Teri Polo and Sherri Saum, who play Stef and Lena will guest star in at least two episodes of Good Trouble. Stef and Lena will help Callie and Mariana, who struggle to adjust after moving to Los Angeles.

Eventually, all the other characters from The Fosters will also appear on the spinoff. "We plan to have all characters from the original series make guest appearances," said Freeform's Karey Burke.
They will also be some new interesting characters introduced. Gael, a new neighbor, is a socially conscious and politically active graphic designer. Gael will be played by actor Tommy Martinez.

Another new neighbor, Malika, is a former foster kid with a penchant for social justice. Malika will be played by actress Zuri Adele.

Alice, a first-generation Asian American, will be the manager of Callie and Mariana's new apartment complex. Alice will be played by actress Sherry Cola.

Can't wait until January to see The Fosters again? Rewatch The Fosters seasons 1-5 before the spinoff Good Trouble premieres in January.
Troian Bellisario has been busy directing ever since Pretty Little Liars came to an end after seven successful seasons. She directed an episode of Freeform's Famous in Love. And she directed, wrote and starred in the movie Feed.
