PLL Showrunner Marlene King Tweets About Fight With Ashley Benson Over Christmas Outfit

The Pretty Little Liars cast and crew have repeatedly expressed their love for each other. That doesn’t mean it was always smiles on the PLL set, though. PLL showrunner Marlene King tweeted about the time actress Ashley Benson (Hanna Marin) got upset with Marlene King over the fur coat and beret hat she wore in the Christmas episode.

This particular outfit was worn in the Mona and Hanna flashback scene in Pretty Little Liars episode 5x13 “How The ‘A’ Stole Christmas”. In that sweet friendship scene, Mona told Hanna “You’re my first friend, Hanna. I wished for us to always stay close.” Hanna replied, “We will. Besties forever. I promise.”

It must have been really uncomfortable standing in a fur coat in the middle of summer, but Ashley Benson looked amazing. And that was the special Christmas episode, so it needed to look like it was freezing outside. Hanna Marin always had stylish outfits on Pretty Little Liars.
