PLL Spoilers: Sara Harvey Burned After Getting Electrocuted

In “Charlotte’s Web” Pretty Little Liars episode 6x12, we learned that Sara Harvey has extensive burns that prevent her from using her hands.  The Liars have implied that the injury happened at Radley the night Charlotte was revealed as “A”, but the show hasn’t given us a full explanation as to how the injury happened.  Luckily, we won’t have to wait to find out.  Janel Parrish has spilled what really happened to Sara Harvey that night.

Janel Parrish, the actress who plays Mona on Pretty Little Liars, was asked by a PLL fan what happened to Sara Harvey.  Janel Parrish tweeted back “she got electrocuted when they stopped the bomb in the finale! She can't use her hands”.

Were you expecting that explanation?  The Liars kept acting guilty, so it seemed like the Liars were more directly involved in the injuries.  Remember when the Liars were afraid Sara Harvey would go to the court and tell the judge what the girls did to her?  If Sara got electrocuted when the Liars stopped the bomb, then the Liars didn’t really do anything to Sara after all.

After the way the show kept referring to Sara Harvey’s mysterious injuries, was anyone else expecting that something more dramatic happened to Sara?  Something more like the Jenna thing?  It’s not like the Liars threw a stink bomb at Sara Harvey and caused her burns.  What do you think of this explanation for how Sara Harvey got injured?
