Lucy Hale Talks Ezra & New Love Liam on PLL (6B Spoilers)

The second half of Pretty Little Liars season six will be rough for Ezria fans.  In the November special of PLL “Five Years Forward”, Lucy Hale revealed that her character Aria is in love with Liam.  Lucy has now given even more details about Aria’s love life in season 6B.  Seems like Aria will be torn between her new love Liam and her former love Ezra.

When we start PLL season 6B, it will seem like Aria has moved on.  Aria is “very happy and in love” with her new boyfriend Liam, Lucy Hale told People.

However, that doesn’t mean Aria’s feelings for Ezra are completely gone.  “That's what happens, you break up with the person you love, you go in different directions, and so I don't really know what their contact was in those five years. I want to say they probably didn't talk at all, because there is a scene in an episode back where she realizes he's back in town and you can tell there's still that butterflies-in-her-stomach feeling,” Lucy said.

And even if Aria and Ezra aren’t dating, they will still have a lot of interaction with each other.  However, their relationship has evolved.  “It's sort of a different kind of a relationship.  You've never seen them have a mature friendship like this, and they start working with each other.”

Are you excited to see Aria with someone new or are you waiting for Aria to get back together with Ezra?

Shay Mitchell’s PLL Room Tour Part 2

In this updated room tour, Shay’s assistant Sammy shows the newly redecorated PLL dressing room.  Watch the video to see Shay’s ButtahBenzo photos, her pink bathroom, and the numerous stuffed rats in Shay’s dressing room.

Shay appears at the end of the video to grab some candy before running out of the room.

Shay’s assistant Sammy seems to be an Emison fan.  In the video, she shows an Emison Coke bottle and says that Emison is endgame.

The Pretty Little Liars "5 Years Forward" November special wasn't a regular PLL episode. Instead, it was one hour of interviews, sneak peeks, relationship details and spoilers for season 6B. Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchell, Sasha Pieterse, Ian Harding, Tyler Blackburn and Tyler Blackburn all took part in the special. Here are the highlights of the PLL "5 Years Forward" special.

Liars and Their Significant Others During the 5 Year Time Jump:

Aria:
Aria went to Georgia and majored in photography, but she rediscovered her love for writing. She transferred to Boston and changed majors to writing. Aria eventually started working for a publisher. Despite appearing to move on from the torture inflicted by "A", Aria is still in denial and isn't fully over what happened to her in the past. Aria hides behind her work and her relationships.

Hanna:
Hanna studied fashion at FIT in New York and interned for Zac Posen. In Europe, she met her current boss Claudia Greco, who she now works for as an assistant.

Spencer:
Spencer went to Georgetown. With "A" gone, she finally got to focus on academics and she got involved in politics. After graduating from Georgetown, she started working on Capitol Hill for a lobbyist. However, she's essentially a glorified coffee gopher. When PLL returns, Spencer will be living in the Hastings barn. Spencer will also be helping her mom run for a seat in the Senate.

PLL 5 Years Forward Sneak Peek: Ashley Benson Picked Theme Song “Secret”

“Secret” by The Pierces is the perfect theme song for Pretty Little Liars.  In fact, it’s so perfect that people often assume the song was written for the show.  In this sneak peek for the PLL "5 Years Forward" special, we find out how "Secret" was chosen as the show's theme song.

Actress Ashley Benson (Hanna) was the one who suggested using “Secret” as the theme song for PLL.  Troian Bellisario (Spencer) remembers Ashley Benson playing the song on her cell phone and asking PLL showrunner Marlene King to use it as the theme song.

Thanks to Ashley Benson, Pretty Little Liars has the perfect theme song.  When PLL returns for the second half of season 6, it will have a new opening title sequence to go with the theme song.  Sasha Pieterse (Alison) joins the other actresses in the intro.  Also, all the girls will do the “shhh” that Lucy Hale (Aria) did in previous seasons.  Check out the new opening sequence and get a behind-the-scenes look at the girls filming the new PLL intro.

PLL 5 Years Forward Special Sneak Peek: How PLL Moms Escaped the Basement

The summer finale of PLL “Game Over, Charles” left fans with a lot of unanswered questions.  One question fans had was what happened to the PLL moms.  We saw “A” trap them in the DiLaurentis basement, but we never saw them rescued.  Fans joked that the moms were forgotten and still trapped in the basement.

In this sneak peek of the Pretty Little Liars special “5 Years Forward” the actresses who play the PLL moms give their theories on how the moms escaped the basement after “A” trapped them.

Actress Lesley Fera, Veronica Hastings on PLL, joked that they lived off Mr. DiLaurentis’s scotch for a while.  Her theory is that Mr. DiLaurentis eventually came down to do the laundry and rescued them.

Pretty Little Liars “5 Years Forward” airs tonight, November 24th at 8pm/7c on ABC Family.

PLL 5 Years Forward Sneak Peek: New Big Bad

PLL actresses Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell talk about the new Big Bad in this sneak peek of the Pretty Little Liars “Five Years Forward” special episode.

The Liars come back to Rosewood when Alison asks them to help Charlotte, but an event occurs that forces the girls to stay in Rosewood.

The Liars start getting messages again.  They know the new messages aren’t from Charlotte.  Actress Troian Bellisario (Spencer) explains that this time the messages feel different.  It’s not about exposing secrets this time.  It is paranoia, blackmail and life-threatening situations.

Actor Keegan Allen (Toby) agrees.  It’s no longer a manipulation game.  It’s now more dark and twisted.

Moving forward, the Liars aren’t victims.  They are ready to fight back against the new Big Bad in this life-or-death situation.

Shay Mitchell & Lucy Hale Talk About Their First Cars

PLL actresses Shay Mitchell (Emily) and Lucy Hale (Aria) talk about their first cars in this OTF/“On The Fly” ABC Family video.

Shay Mitchell’s first car was a blue/purple Volkswagen Golf.  Her parents gave it to her when she turned 16.  They even put a huge bow on the car.  Shay used to call the car her “little blueberry”.

Lucy Hale’s first car was a Prius.  She got her license at 18 instead of 16 because she was scared of all the crazy drivers in Los Angeles.  That car was her first major purchase.

PLL “Five Years Forward” Special Episode Airs Nov 24th

Update: In case you missed the special episode, check out the recap of Pretty Little Liars “5 Years Forward” to read season 6B spoilers.

“Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward” is a PLL special episode that will air Tuesday, November 24.  This year PLL didn’t have a special Halloween episode like it did in previous seasons.  We also won’t get a special Christmas episode like we got in season five of PLL.  PLL’s winter premiere won’t be until January 12, but at least we don’t have to wait long to watch this special episode filled with interviews and sneak peeks. 

Here’s what to expect from the PLL special:

“‘Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward’ offers fans a glimpse at what everyone’s favorite characters have been up to inside and outside of Rosewood over the past five years. The episode will feature never-before-seen scenes, backstage tours of brand new PLL sets, interviews with the cast and crew surrounding the highly anticipated time jump, including the style evolution of the Liars, and more.”

This promo for “Pretty Little Liars: 5 Years Forward” confirms spoilers that Hanna is engaged.  Troian Bellisario also says that Toby and Spencer have fallen apart.

Trailer for Torrey DeVitto’s New Show ‘Chicago Med’

Torrey DeVitto’s (Spencer’s older sister Melissa Hastings on PLL) new show Chicago Med (spinoff of Chicago Fire) airs this Tuesday on NBC.  Torry plays Dr. Natalie Manning, a pregnant emergency room doctor.  Here are the episode highlights.  The pilot episode is titled “The Green Branch”.

Chicago Med premieres Tuesday November 17 9/8c on NBC, so tune in to see Torrey DeVitto in a role completely different from her role as Melissa Hastings on Pretty Little Liars.

Sasha Pieterse Plays “Let's Go Fishin’”

Sasha Pieterse, Alison on PLL, played the game “Let's Go Fishin’” in this OTF/“On The Fly” video.  (Lucy Hale, Aria on PLL, has also played this game in another "On The Fly" video).  Unlike Lucy Hale, Sasha Pieterse has never been fishing before.

Lea Thompson (Switched at Birth), Derek Theler (Baby Daddy) and Melissa Peterman (Baby Daddy) are also in the video.  The game was a lot harder than any of them thought it would be.

ButtahBenzo (Ashley Benson & Shay Mitchell) in Milan for MTV EMA’s

ButtahBenzo (PLL actresses Shay Mitchell and Ashley Benson) videotaped their experience traveling to Milan for the MTV EMA’s.  Check out the video to see Ashley and Shay head to Milan for the first time. 

They wore facial masks on the plane and Ashley had her teddy bear with her on the flight. Ashley brings her bear everywhere. Shay loves pizza, so of course she had on pizza socks. (Shay Mitchell also has a cool pepperoni pizza sleeping mask). For more details on all the stuff Shay had with her on the plane, check out what Shay packs in her travel bag.

The girls learned some Italian from their driver in Milan.  They enjoyed some champagne in their hotel room, shopped at vintage stores and met PLL fans in Milan.

Ashley and Shay almost missed their flight back home because they were having some pizza at the airport.

Ever wonder what non-acting jobs the PLL cast had before they were cast in Pretty Little Liars?  Actresses Shay Mitchell and Lucy Hale talk about the first jobs they ever had.

Shay Mitchell (Emily on PLL) worked in a clothing store when she was fourteen.

Lucy Hale (Aria on PLL) has been acting ever since she was fifteen.  Lucy said that she never had a “real job”.  She always secretly wanted to work at a coffee shop, though.  (Lucy Hale’s first acting job was a small role in an episode of Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh).

PLL Season 6B Promo: Toby Punches Caleb?

Here's a new promo video for season 6B of PLL.  Most of the video shows what we have already seen in the previously released promo for the second half of PLL season 6, but there is one pretty huge moment in this promo that we haven’t seen before.

In this new season 6B promo, Toby punches someone.  We don’t see a face, but does it look like Toby punched Caleb?

People’s Choice Awards 2016 PLL Nominees: Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson & Shay Mitchell

The People’s Choice Awards 2016 nominees were announced at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles and PLL stars Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell were among the nominees.   

Pretty Little Liars was nominated in the category “Favorite Cable TV Drama”.  PLL is up against Bates Motel, The Fosters, Rizzoli & Isles and Suits.  (Coincidentally, Troian Bellisario has guest starred a couple times on Suits.  Troian’s fiancé, Patrick Adams, stars on the show).  Vote for PLL in the People's Choice Awards Favorite Cable TV Drama category.
