Get an inside look at how makeup artist Carlene K gave Shay Mitchell a beautiful smoky eye for the PLL season 5 wrap party with this makeup tutorial. (You also may want to check out a Janel Parrish makeup tutorial, too).
Carlene started with a neutral brown eyeshadow in Shay’s crease and underneath her eye. Then she highlighted the inner eye and center of the lid.
Next she lined Shay’s eyes using three different colors. Black on the inside, then chocolate brown and finally a light brown, giving her a gradient look.
The black liner was placed on the lower water line, on the top underneath the lash line, and lastly on the eyelid itself. Shay also demonstrated how she glues on her eyelashes.
For Shay’s lips, she used a liner to give definition before applying the lipstick. Nars blush in “Orgasm” was used for Shay’s cheeks. Highlighter was applied to Shay’s Cupid's bow and down her nose. The look was finished up with bronzer.
