In PLL episode 7x16 “The Glove That Rocks the Cradle”, Lucas and Aria had a moment when Lucas was confronted by the Liars and Aria suggested that Lucas didn’t destroy Emison’s baby nursery room. That exchange between Aria and Lucas wasn't a coincidence.
Brendan Robinson said there’s nothing coincidentally on Pretty Little Liars. That Aria and Lucas moment was written in the script. It wasn’t an improvised thing. It was a specific moment that we’ll learn a little more about in future episodes.
So is it possible Lucas is either working for A.D. or is A.D. himself? Brendan hopes PLL fans will cut Lucas some slack after watching “The Glove That Rocks the Cradle”. If Lucas is involved, then it would be to protect Hanna. Lucas would have a good reason if he was involved with A.D.
Lucas said we should absolutely go back and watch previous seasons of Pretty Little Liars for clues to A.D.’s identity, even as far back as season 2 or season 3. Hints about Uber ‘A’ have been dropped for a long time on the show.
Brendan Robinson was very surprised and thrown off when he found out who A.D. is because it wasn’t what he was expecting. He found out who A.D. is a couple weeks before he read the final script. All the questions will make sense when we see the PLL series finale episode.
Pretty Little Liars episode 7x20 “Til DeAth Do Us Part” will feature a lot of flashbacks. So we will see all the important moments that lead up to the A.D. reveal.
