Gymnast Simone Biles Visited PLL Set

Gymnast Simone Biles, the 19-year-old Olympic gold medalist who was part of the “Final Five” at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, got the chance to visit the PLL set. She took lots of photos with the cast while touring the set.

Simone Biles is a huge Pretty Little Liars fan. PLL producer Marlene King invited her to visit the PLL set in this video. “Hey Simone! I heard you’re a big PLL fan. Well, we are huge fans of yours and everybody there. We’re so proud of what you’re doing in Rio. The Final Five, we love it. Come see us as soon as you get home and bring your friends” Marlene said in this video.

Simone Biles tweeted the response “YES X27238833”. A month later, Simon Biles was at the Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank meeting the PLL cast and touring the set.

In this video, Shay Mitchell and Simon Biles joked that Shay is the Sixth Member of the U.S. Gymnastics #FinalFive team. Simon was teaching Shay how to do a handstand, but Shay didn’t think she could do one.

The PLL cast took this group photo with Simon Biles. Unfortunately, Lucy Hale was not in the photo because she wasn’t filming PLL that day. “@lucyhale was not filming today but someone just as small and powerful took her place. Looks like PLL is a huge fan of Olympic athletes, because Simone Biles isn’t the first time Olympic champion to visit the PLL set. Back in season 3, Olympic gold medalist swimmer Missy Franklin had a cameo appearance on PLL in episode 3x22 “Will the Circle be Unbroken?”. In the episode, Shay Mitchell’s character Emily Fields, who swims on the Rosewood High team, is excited to meet Missy Franklin.
