Chloe Bridges, the actress who was Donna LaDonna on The Carrie Diaries (the prequel to Sex and the City), makes her Pretty Little Liars debut in “Surfing the Aftershocks” episode 5x03.
Chloe Bridges will be
joining the PLL cast as Sydney Driscoll, a new member of the Rosewood High swim
team.
In an interview with IB
Times, Marlene King (creator of PLL) said that this role was written
specifically for Chloe Bridges. They created this storyline a couple of years ago, but they had to wait for Chloe to
be available for filming.
As a new Rosewood High
swimmer, Sydney will become friends with both Emily and Paige. The end of season 4 left Emily and Paige’s
relationship in a bad place, so Sydney Driscoll will help Emily and Paige
reconnect.
