PLL Recap 7x15 ‘In the Eye Abides the Heart’: Aria Betrays Her Friends to Save Ezra

Aria goes down a dark path in Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart”. Uber ‘A’ blackmails Aria into betraying her friends. Unless she does exactly as she’s told, Ezra will spend time behind bars. Hanna turns to Mona for help winning the game. Detective Marco Furey grows suspicious of Spencer. And Alison and Emily decide what to do about their baby. (“In the Eye Abides the Heart” was actually directed by PLL actress Troian Bellisario!)

Aria, hiding behind a dumpster, gets another video call from Uber ‘A’. This time, though, it isn’t one of A.D.’s messengers. A.D. uses a digitized version of Aria’s face and a disguised voice to communicate with Aria. So Aria is talking to a creepy Avataria-style version of herself.

Here are behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the PLL cast filming Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 titled “In the Eye Abides the Heart”. The episode was directed by PLL actress Troian Bellisario (!) and written by Joseph Dougherty. “In the Eye Abides the Heart” will air on May 23, 2017. Troian Bellisario took this photo of Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell, Lucy Hale and Sasha Pieterse at the table read. “A view from the other side. I can't believe I get to direct these insanely talented human beings,” she captioned the photo.

PLL 7x15 Sneak Peek: Police Think Mary Drake Killed Archer Dunhill

The police are trying to find out who killed Archer Dunhill, so Spencer stops by the police station to get some information in this sneak peek of Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart”.

Spencer brings Detective Marco Furey “gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, fat-free” cupcakes. “Technically they might not exist”, she says. Marco says he’ll be happy if there is anything in the cupcake box.

Marco has been trying to reach Toby, but he’s out of town. Toby and Caleb went fishing up at Caleb’s cabin.

Spencer asks Marco about the investigation into Archer Dunhill's death. Marco talked to a nurse at Welby. He found out that both Emily and Mary visited Alison. Dr. Rollins, aka Archer Dunhill, wasn’t happy about that visit. The nurse saw Mary Drake and Archer Dunhll arguing after that. One theory is that Mary killed Archer after the argument.

“When you asked me to look for Mary Drake, did you think that she was involved with what happened with Archer Dunhill?” Marco asks Spencer. Spencer is quick to say no, pointed out that she didn’t know Archer Dunhill was dead at that time. We know Spencer is lying, but does Marco believe her?

Looks like Marco is getting suspicious of Spencer. PLL episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart” will air on Tuesday, May 23.

PLL 7x15 Sneak Peek: Spencer Introduces Wren to Ezra

British doctor Wren Kingston is back! In this sneak peek for Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart”, Spencer introduces Wren to Ezra. (In real life, actors Ian Harding and Julian Morris are good friends. This is the first scene they've ever had together on PLL, though).

Ezra unexpectedly runs into Spencer and Wren at the airport. Spencer introduces Wren to Ezra, explaining that Wren was almost her brother-in-law a couple of times.

Wren ended up with a layover from hell, so he called Spencer. They met up at the airport for drinks. Spencer invites Ezra to have a drink with them, but Ezra doesn’t want to intrude.
 

The situation seemed a little awkward in this sneak peek. Anyone else think Ezra was acting weird? PLL episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart” will air Tuesday, May 23 at 8/7c on Freeform.

PLL 7x15 Synopsis "In the Eye Abides the Heart"

Here’s the synopsis for Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 "In the Eye Abides the Heart":

“After being blackmailed by A.D., one of the Liars begins to supply info to the dark side in order to protect those closest to her. Detective Furey questions how much the PLLs know about what happened to Archer Dunhill. Aria tries to issue an ultimatum to Ezra in regards to Nicole, while Emily struggles with how to support Ali. Spencer goes to elaborate lengths to meet up with Mary Drake and encounters Wren. After learning something surprising about Lucas, Hanna sets out to prove her friend is innocent and uncovers even more troubling info. And another person is brought in on the secret of A.D.’s game.”

PLL 7x15 Sneak Peek: Nicole’s Dad Wants Ezra Back with Nicole

Ezria is still in trouble in this sneak peek of Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart”.

Aria comes in while Ezra is on the phone with Nicole’s dad. Nicole’s parents want Ezra to come back to New York to be there for Nicole.

Aria feels bad for Nicole’s parents and she tells Ezra that she’s okay.

Aria has been supportive during this whole Nicole situation, but how much more can she take? Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart” will air on Tuesday, May 23 on Freeform.

PLL 7x15 Promo: Aria Will Betray Her Friends to Win the Game?

Will Aria betray her friends to win A.D.’s game? She will, according to the promo for Pretty Little Liars episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart”.

Hanna turns to Mona for help when A.D. forces her to play the ‘Liar’s Lament’ game again. Mona is in awe of the game. “It’s brilliant. It’s beautiful,” Mona says. Hanna demands that they shut the game down. That won’t be easy though. Caleb’s already been poisoned by the game. And when Mona touches it, a blade comes out.

Will Detective Marco Furey suspect Spencer in Archer Dunhill’s murder? “Every theory that I can come up with keeps circling back to you,” he says.

Wren’s finally back! And Spencer asks Ezra to keep a secret.

“And Aria will betray everyone to win” the promo says. We see Aria pulling a black hoodie out of a locker.

Aria loves her friends, so I doubt Aria will actually betray her friends just to win the game. She’s got some hard choices ahead of her, though. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait for two weeks before we can get more answers. Pretty Little Liars “In the Eye Abides the Heart” will air on Tuesday, May 23.

Troian Bellisario’s PLL Directorial Debut Episode 7x15 (Photos)

Troian Bellisario, Spencer on PLL, is now officially a Pretty Little Liars director. Troian Bellisario directed PLL episode 7x15 “In the Eye Abides the Heart”. (Check out photos of Troian Bellisario shadowing PLL director Roger Kumble last year).

The PLL cast was incredibly supportive of Troian Bellisario’s new role. They took to social media to show how proud they were of Troian’s directorial debut.
