PLL showrunner Marlene King has spilled that there is actually a board game inside the box. (So that’s why the episode is titled “Playtime”). Uber “A” will force the Liars to play the board game over the last ten episodes of PLL, Marlene told Hollywood Life at the last TCA panel. (See photos of Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse at the TCA winter press tour).
Also, there will be another time jump in PLL season 7B. At some point during the final ten episodes, the story will jump ahead one year.
We will also get some more insight into Alison’s past and complicated family background. “We humanize Alison and learn why she is the way she is,” Marlene said. We will also finally get to see that Alison classroom flash-forward scene that was teased at the end of episode 6x10 “Game Over, Charles”. PLL producer Oliver Goldstick told Seventeen that we will finally understand Alison’s behavior. “I think there really is a redemptive quality [to her storyline] because they recognize what she's been through. I think a lot of Alison's behavior is, if not forgivable, it's certainly comprehensible”.
Really love the idea of the Liars being forced to play a twisted board game from A.D.. Can’t wait to see how that turns out. Sounds like the last ten episodes of PLL are going to be really intense. Are you excited to see A.D.’s board game? What do you think of Pretty Little Liars having a second time jump, this time a jump of one year?
