Emily No Longer Weakest Link on PLL

Emily Fields has grown over the past five seasons on Pretty Little Liars.  She is no longer the same girl who “A” once called the weakest link.  Everything she has gone through has made her tougher.  Emily has become the protector of the group.

“By far Emily was the weakest link in the beginning.  ‘A’ even identified her as the weakest link.  And then she had to kill a man, Nate.  When you have to kill somebody on this show, it changes you.  And she really became the strongest.  She’s sort of the fighter now.  Almost like the protector”, PLL showrunner Marlene King says.

Shay Mitchell realizes that her character has so much more confidence now.  “She has had such a huge growth in her confidence, with how she handles herself, her opinions and being to speak up about them”.
