PLL Actresses Lucy Hale & Ashley Benson Nominated for People’s Choice Awards 2017

Pretty Little Liars actresses Lucy Hale (Aria) and Ashley Benson (Hanna) have both been nominated for a People’s Choice Award. Pretty Little Liars itself also got nominated, so PLL has a total of three nominations for the People’s Choice Awards 2017. (Check out photos of the PLL cast at the People's Choice Awards 2016. Lucy Hale (Aria), Ian Harding (Ezra), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Troian Bellisario (Spencer) and Shay Mitchell (Emily) all attended the People’s Choice Awards 2016, where they won “Favorite Cable TV Drama” and Troian Bellisario flipped off the camera in her acceptance speech.  Here are some photos the PLL cast shared from the big night.

PLL Wins & Troian Bellisario Flips Off Camera at People’s Choice Award 2016

Pretty Little Liars won ‘Favorite Cable TV Drama’ at the People’s Choice Awards 2016, beating Bates Motel, The Fosters, Rizzoli & Isles and Suits for the honor.  PLL stars Lucy Hale (Aria), Ian Harding (Ezra), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Troian Bellisario (Spencer) and Shay Mitchell (Emily) were at the award show to accept the award.  Troian Bellisario’s acceptance speech was certainly unique, particularly the part where she flipped off the cameras when she ran out of time to talk.

In her speech, Troian Bellisario thanked PLL showrunner Marlene King, Pretty Little Liars author Sara Shepard and PLL producer Lisa Cochran.  Troian also made sure to mention ABC Family’s name change.  (ABC Family will become Freeform on January 12th).

Troian expressed her love for the PLL cast.  “I cannot imagine a more beautiful, kind or incredible group of people, family, than the people I’m standing up with right now” Troian said.

Troian Bellisario’s speech was going great until she was told to wrap it up.  Troian quickly flipped the camera off and continued to thank the PLL fans in her speech.

Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell were all competing for the ‘Favorite Cable TV Actress’ award, but Rizzoli & Isles actress Sasha Alexander won that category.

The People’s Choice Awards 2016 nominees were announced at the Paley Center for Media in Los Angeles and PLL stars Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell were among the nominees.   

Pretty Little Liars was nominated in the category “Favorite Cable TV Drama”.  PLL is up against Bates Motel, The Fosters, Rizzoli & Isles and Suits.  (Coincidentally, Troian Bellisario has guest starred a couple times on Suits.  Troian’s fiancé, Patrick Adams, stars on the show).  Vote for PLL in the People's Choice Awards Favorite Cable TV Drama category.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Pretty Little Liars for winning Favorite Cable TV Drama at the People’s Choice Awards 2015.

Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson were both up for Favorite Cable TV Actress, but that award went to Angie Harmon.

Lucy Hale was also nominated for Favorite Female Country Artist.  Carrie Underwood went home with that award.
