Synopsis for Mother's Day:

“Intertwining stories revolve around a television host (Julia Roberts), a divorcee (Jennifer Aniston) looking for love and a woman (Kate Hudson) who wants to strengthen her relationship with her mother.”

Shay Mitchell was on the Rachael Ray Show and she talked about her role in the upcoming romantic comedy Mother’s Day.  In Mother’s Day, Shay plays the stepmother to the kids of Jennifer Aniston’s character.

Mother’s Day is Shay’s first role in a big movie.  Shay couldn’t believe she had scenes with Jennifer Aniston, who she described as amazing. 

Shay is also a big fan of the director Garry Marshall.  Garry also directed Pretty Woman, which Shay has watched a million times.

After Shay finished filming Mother’s Day, she posted a photo of herself with Jennifer Aniston on the set and thanked the cast and crew.

Mother’s Day will open in theaters in April 2016.

Shay Mitchell Finishes Filming ‘Mother’s Day’

Shay Mitchell has finished filming her role in the upcoming romantic comedy Mother’s Day.

Shay shared this photo of herself with co-star Jennifer Aniston on the last day of filming.  She captioned it “And that's a wrap on #MothersDayMovie !!! Huge thanks to the cast and crew for making this experience one that I will never forget! And to the sweetest co-parent one could ever have...Jennifer. I loved being a step mom to your kids! Can't wait for you all to see it next year!!! ”

Shay Mitchell Cast in ‘Mother’s Day’ Movie

Shay Mitchell, Emily on PLL, has landed a role in the romantic comedy Mother’s Day.  Mother’s Day is an ensemble film about the lives of different moms on Mother’s Day.  Other stars cast in Mother’s Day include Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Jason Sudeikis and Timothy Olyphant. 

Shay Mitchell will play Tina, the new wife of Henry (Timothy Olyphant’s character).  Henry is the ex-husband of Sandy (Jennifer Aniston’s character).  Tina wants to be the perfect stepmom, according to Variety.

Shay has already started filming the movie, which is being shot in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mother’s Day will be in theaters on April 29, 2016.  It’ll be great to see Shay Mitchell in a role completely different from her role as Emily on Pretty Little Liars.
