Amanda Schull in "Project Christmas Wish" Hallmark Movie

Catch Amanda Schull (Meredith Sorenson on Pretty Little Liars) in Hallmark's new original Christmas movie Project Christmas Wish. (You may also recognize Amanda Schull from the hit ballet movie Center Stage). The movie also stars actor Travis Van Winkle, who you may recognize from the Hallmark movie Christmas Getaway. For years Lucy has played Santa to her small town's community. As she grants a little girl's wish for a "Christmas like it used to be," she unexpectedly finds her own wishes coming true.

Project Christmas Wish Synopsis:

"For years, Lucy (Schull) has played Santa to her small town’s community by making their holiday wishes come true. Spearheading her Christmas Crew of one, Lucy takes to the radio waves each Christmas in search of her Wish of the Season. Since losing his wife, Christmas has been a time of grief for Lucas (Van Winkle)and filled with memories of what used to be for his daughter, Max. Lucy’s storybook Christmas persona leaves Lucas wary of small-town life but gives Max the platform she’s been waiting for: a direct line to Santa. Publicly wishing for “Christmas, like it used to be,” Max becomes the town’s Wish of the Season. But when Lucy sets out to grant Max’s wish, she unexpectedly finds her own wishes coming true in life...and love."

And clearly the feeling was mutual. Travis Van Winkle shared the same photo and captioned it " That’s a wrap on working with this talented woman. And on eating all the donuts individually wrapped for Covid safety. And on looking like I am in a John Hughes film.

@amandaschull you are ACES. Lovely to spend some Winnipeg time with you. @hallmarkchannel πŸ™ŒπŸ½

While promoting Project Christmas Wish, Amanda Schull was asked what is one of her most cherished childhood memories. She said "My mom every year would just go all doing a beautiful tree and she makes a village underneath the tree every year with fake snow and little houses and little Christmas trees underneath. And she puts lights into all of the houses and when she would have it all done it was pretty spectacular".

Actor Travis Van Winkle was asked how he celebrates Christmas Eve. He said that he celebrates in a pretty festive way because of his mom. She treats Christmas as a time to bring everyone together and to create this elaborate system of games for them to connect in a unique way. "We'll go bowling in the morning. We'll go watch a movie. We'll then have lunch and then we'll play a bunch of games she makes up whether it's some kind of charades or scavenger hunts. Last year my dad and mom made and incredible escape room. It was incredible. Better than any escape room that I've paid for and we had to find our way out and it was really elaborate and well done. And then we end up opening our presents and then we have a great dinner and watch another movie".

And actress Averie Peters talked about her most cherished family tradition. Averie explained that every year they have the same routine. They open presents at her house. Then they go visit her grandparents and eat breakfast with them.
